My dogs get great care here. – My dogs do great at Cascade. We started there for training and now also use their boarding services. The facility is very clean and they wash their bedding before I pick them up. The place smells clean, not like dirty dogs or harsh chemicals trying to cover up an unpleasant odor. This is the only facility in the area that will give you a tour unannounced. Most other places will only let you come in during certain hours or not at all. My dogs have always received excellent care while boarding there. Their training program is top notch as well!
My dog drags me to the door, to get in ! – I really like Cascade but my dog, she LOVES it! She starts trembling when I get to the top of their drive and I have to keep her leash on becasue she will bolt out the car to the door of Cascade, she can't check in soon enough.
It's the only kennel around that I just showed up and got a tour, no appointment necessary, I think that says a lot. Dogs do bark when you go into the kennel but I noticed prior to our going in there it was very quiet. They just get excited becasue a new guy is checking in I was told.
The kennel is so clean, it was warm, and the property itself has such a good vibe to it, just beautiful.
The staff I felt really likes dogs and that makes me, the owner feel good. It's not enough to check your dog in to a nice kennel with nice digs, we humans want to know that the humans that interact with our dogs really do like the dogs. It's obvious by my dogs reaction she likes everything about Cascade.
I left her there for a week one time and had her groomed and I highly recommend that also. Great job, they did not cut her too short (she's a doodle) and left it just right so she looks like a puppy again!
too many dogs for low quantity of staff – While the kennels are located in a beautiful setting, I drove by several times to observe before boarding my pet there. I noticed dogs in play yards being completely ignored by the people with them. I've heard from others that there is not enough personnel to properly care for a high quantity of pets. The runs are indoors and if you don't pay for walks and plays, your dog sits in a kennel for 24 hours. It doesn't sound like that kind of environment is good for a dog's stress level so I've gone elsewhere.
My Puppy Loved it – My dog just loves this place, it is in the country, and so nice! And very affordable!
