Located just blocks from the market, lots of retail and a number of the city's entertainment venues this room has an incredible happy hour including bites that easily pass for dinner.

Happy Hour Hype. Warning...when visiting McCormick's for happy hour, don't expect any drink specials. They don't offer any. How they continue to receive hype about their "Best Happy Hour" seems to be a joke as far as I'm concerned. They should win the award for "Best Burger for under $2". That is pretty much the only thing their so-called happy hour has going for it. The service sucks in the bar. Every time I go for happy hour, they make me feel like I'm cheap and trying to take advantage of them. My advice is this: Be cheap and take advantage of them by ordering the Burger and a Beer, then leave.

2nd Chance & still can't get it right. I am firm believer in giving someone a second chance. After a highly disappointing dinner, I phoned the manager to tell him of our experience. We were seated an hour late for our reservations, bread was never delivered to our table, my fish was room temperature, my husband's steak was marginal at best and to top it off, we had a "lovely" table right next to the kitchen where you could see the overflowing garbage cans and disgusting floor littered with kale and other food scraps. The manager said what any good customer-driven company should have said "we're sorry and we want to make it right for your next visit". Unfortunately for them, it is now going on 4 weeks since that phone call and I have not heard a word from them. They have blown their 2nd chance to make me a happy customer.

Satifying Food. They have great burgers, fish-n-chips, and meat loaf. The people and clientel are honest. I lost my wallet there and it was returned w/everything in it. They were even prompt in calling me w/in half hr after I left the place.

old and tired. The food is ok but overpriced for how uninspired the prep and presentation are. The decor is smokey old-school Seattle fish house. The service seems to largely depend on which server you get - in other words a few seem to care and the rest are just doing a job. The female servers seem at least a little interested in the service. The men seem either too young to know much yet or older and bored.

For the price go to Etta's or the Flying Fish.

Great Room, OK Food. The decor and ambience are wonderful; wood paneling and the scale of the place set your expectations high. The staff is very professional. The food, however, is merely adequate, less so when you consider the price.

Once in a lifetime.... Only once can you taste cooked salmon for the first time. I will forever be grateful that my first time was at McCormick & Schmick's - I had backed salmon in a garlic butter creme sauce stuffed with dungeoness crab and shrimp. I actually felt high from the experience. The ambiance and service are good, straight-forward. Exactly what one might expect from a downtown restaurant.

Great Happy Hour. One of the best Happy Hours around. You can get a beer a burger for dirt cheap. Conveniently located downtown for the business crowd. Get there early otherwise it will be tough to find a seat.
