The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON EARTH – I never had such an awful experience in an Indian restaurant like Pabla Indian Cuisine in Seattle, WA. These members of staffs serving at table (girls) are so badly trained, no courtesy at towards customers, extremely delay to attend customers’ requests, no politeness, tremendously arrogant towards customers etc.
We (four people) went to this Indian Cuisine to eat dinner on 15th of April. We were asked to seat. We were waiting for more than 20 minutes to get one customer care personality to take our orders. Finally, one girl came from the main counter and asked our requests with no smile, no courtesy, and no sorry for this delay at all. The way she asked questions have pointed out that we have done something wrong in that restaurant after all 20 minutes delays on her side to response to us. Anyway, we ordered several types of foods and few beers. It took another 10-12 minutes – the beers or other soft drinks did not reach our table. It was so wired to experience this kind of customer service in 21st century especially in Seattle. We got so hungry and angry and frustrated for sitting more than 30 minutes without any thing and especially experiencing such a miserable attitude of Indian customer service in this part of the world. Finally, we decided to response. I went to the counter and said please cancel all our order including food. The main girl “without smile” or “no courtesy” or “no politeness” told me once again with her arrogant action “ooohhhh we are preparing your food and you have to wait” I immediately replied to her that “we have to leave this place ASAP because of your “unfriendliness treatment.” May be our action cost little bit to them, but it is important for them to learn what is customer service means. Also it important FOR these CUSTOMER CARE PEOPLE to know that it is not Punjab. Once again, it is one of the worst Indian restaurants I have experienced. I never, ever, will recommend to this place to anyone in my life.
WORST customer service ever!!! also dishonest! do not trust with your credit card! – My friends and I had the WORST experience at this restaurant last week. We were seated promptly because it wasn't busy. We also ordered pretty quickly. However, we waited ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN minutes before our food arrived. We asked the servers several times when the food would arrive and we were told "fifteen minutes" each time. At one point we wondered if we would ever get our food. When the food did arrive, the portions were small but the food tasted fine. After getting our bill we decided to talk to the manager/owner about the slow service.
Instead of being treated with respect and concern, the manager was very rude, dismissive and insulting towards us. I have never been treated so poorly in a place where I was spending more than $40! Upon receiving the bill we did not tip (the servers told us the tips do not go to them, but to the owner). But when I got my credit card bill I noticed that they charged me $7 MORE than I had signed. Dishonest behavior!!
I would never eat there again nor would I EVER trust them with my credit card information!
Disgusting... – Since I work just a couple blocks away I eat the buffet at Pabla 1-2 times a week, and have never been disappointed. On Mondays & Fridays they've got Goat Curry! And their samosas are light, fluffy & just right.
But the other day I dropped $35 at lunch (imagine my shock!) for just 3 items - Potato Samosas, Palaak Paneer (curried greens with paneer cheese) and Goat Biryani. I nearly spewed.
At $13.95 the Goat Curry was 50% bones. The yellow/orange grease which stuck the overcooked rice together like so much grossness oozed onto my shirt. What goat meat there was challenged me to wrestle the gristle off the bone. I lost.
I should let you know that I'm not one of your quieter patrons. When something annoys me I gently but firmly let ownership know about it. In this case I emailed them to let them know my $35 (!) lunch could have used a loving touch. I didn't get so much as a reply. So forget them; the buffet's just not worth it.
"Dirty-Nasty Food" Avoid Pabla Indian Restaurant. "Worst Customer Service" – AVOID this Nasty place, we had buffet here, and found small insect in food. When complained, the guy came and smiled and just picked it and walked away, didn't even say "Sorry" or no explanation, I thought to move on, then found a long hair in food, then that was enough, I felt, thats it!!! I felt sick of that food.
Later when talked to a friend, I was told, these chains of Pabla restaurants, cook in large scale and take it around to their multiple restaurants. Nothing is Fresh. They cook grave and chickens separately for example enough to last over several weeks, when they get order, they just mix and warm, making it look freshly cooked.
Yikeeeesssss..... thats sickkkko .. Customer Service was Worst! Made me feel like they were doing us a FAVOR by letting us eat, as if it was for freee and Guess what, even if for free, you don't let people eat that.

Quiet downtown dining – Ate here after the Westlake tree lighting festivities. We were seated promptly. The restaurant was 75% full but still quiet and intimate with dim lights and candles on all the tables. Service was really slow, our food took more then 25 minutes, but we weren't in a hurry. Although our water glasses were always full, a gal walked by every table 6 or 7 times. Prices were okay, some high for Indian as you don't get the most for your buck. My dish was good... Pabla Special Chicken Korma which had a smooth buttery sweet flavor. DH ordered Lamb Jalfrazie, which is a usual for us elsewhere, however it tasted like propane. I don't know what it was and neither of us got sick but the sauce had a gas flavor and wasn't great. The naan was fresh and hot. Rice comes with all dishes but be warned you'll need more as the complimentary serving is enough for each person to have two scoops. More rice cost $3.99, which you don't know until the bill comes, and still didn't get very much.
Too Bad for Pabla – Such a shame...Pabla USE to be so good look at the reviews before 2007, just got back from a terrible dining experience and I sympathize with the last reviewer as well. As the last reviewer suggested the city health personnel should check them because the shrimp they served tasted spoiled! The waitress never asked how the food was perhaps because she could tell we were not enjoying our meal. So we volunteered to tell her of this possibly health risking shrimp, waited for an apology or compensation...received neither.... instead the bill was brought in a rush the owner lady stood by the table while we gathered to pay for the bill as if weary weather we would pay it!! Unbelievable! Last but not least the Tandoori ordered had some sauce that tasted like a cheap BBQ sauce nothing to do with a good Tandoori dish! Sad to see the reputation of this once fine restaurant gone down the drain literally,,, because I think the shrimp liquefied me a bit if you get my drift. Please go to Taste of India, Cedars or even a fast food Indian at a mall eatery, you will surely be treated more decently and get better food!

What a rip off! – As I have mentioned in one of my other reviews here, I happened upon this place after a long day at the Pike Place Market and all I wanted was some good food, reasonably served. Soon as I walked in, an Indian woman looked at me, turned her back, and started chatting to her male colleague. This went on for around half an hour, during which I had found myself a seat! She then decided to come over to give me a menu, all the while chatting to her colleague in her own lingo--ok, I am not against usng your own mother tongue, but as I dont speak it, I felt as if they were talking about me all the time! The food when it came was bland, over-spiced, full of too much green chillies and tasted just as if it was made 3 days ago and reheated every day! The decor was out-dated by about 20 years, the tables filthy, chairs creaked and the bathroom was the absolute pits, stinking of who-knows-what. Anyway, paid my bill with a smile (which to me meant that I certainly wont be coming back again!). seriously, this place needs the Health Inspectors to come in and check it out before someone goes down with botulism or something. Sorry!
Great food, a must try! – I've been to many Indian restaurants -- this is one of the best anywhere. The lunch buffet is fabulous even though it's small -- all top quality. The dinner menu is large and all the dishes have been really great. The service is typically east Indian -- very slow, so don't let that bother you. You have to go here if you love Indian food!
Surprise in unassuming spot – I never would have noticed this place if it weren't for City Search reviews. Great place for a bite before a concert at Benaroya or the Triple Door, or after shopping at Westlake Center or Pike Place. Apparently good to go early was almost empty when we arrived at 5 p.m. on a Friday, but was busy when we left. Candlelight atmosphere, but otherwise typical Indian restaurant ambience no booths, just lots of tables/chairs (so not as romantic as it could be, despite candles), Indian-style artwork and music. Service was nicely responsive. I'm a sucker for curry and the chicken masala was great. The onion bhaji were nicely seasoned, the garlic naan was big and tasty. Wife loved the vegetable pakora and saag paneer. Prices were actually pretty good. The offices around the neighborhood probably pack the place for the lunch buffet (I know Id be there).
Tasty food – Great food and they have definite variety in levels of spicy/hot with Mild, Hot and Indian Hot! Outstanding
