wonderful customer service!, nice pen selection. I am obsessed with Retro 51's Classic Deskset Series in Utophia White with Chrome Accents that I found here! I used it for my wedding guestbook,, thank yous and now it will be on my desk for a long time to come. I have also purchased birthday gift pens for my mother, father and grandfather here. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful! They also offered to wrap my gift pens complementarity.
Stand your epistolary ground against the digital age's delete-able correspondence at this snail-mail accessory shop..
The Scene
One of the only downtown businesses that still handwrites its receipts, this small 5th Avenue shop caters to ink-and-paper junkies. The wares are fancy enough to inspire a mass return to the lost art of letter writing. Silberman/Brown can custom-engrave announcements and invites with little notice. Scores of wedding invitations await perusal, and the "Baby Room" also carries customized announcements.
The Goods
Creamy, handmade Italian paper, high-priced Cartier pens and a slew of handwriting accoutrements fill the store. Pens from Dupont, Waterman, Pelican and Mont Blanc will help you do the write thing, while antique desk accessories will look great at home, even if you never use them. The priciest pen is a limited edition Waterman for $2,500. An antique, silver dip-pen goes for $250 and baby announcements sell for about $15 a box.
