Located in the heart of Wallingford, this traditional Irish pub is known for clean surroundings and stacks of drafts. – The Scene
Murphy's reigns as a hangout for locals and a destination for visitors to the neighborhood. A fake fireplace sits in the middle of the room, facing a conversation area with big, comfy chairs that are the choice spot for listening to music from the small stage. Behind the bar, there are 22 taps featuring mostly Northwest brews and fresh, hand-pumped Guinness, as well as a stock of Irish whiskeys.

The Draw
The place is usually hopping, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when there's live music from traditional and contemporary Irish acts. In the back corner, step down to the darts area, where the action is usually competitive. This is the real thing: lethal steel-tipped darts and sturdy cork boards, not the electronically scored plastic setups found in most bars.

the judge – Stopped by with a buddy just the other day to renew an old relationship that began at the "old" Murphy's when it was up the street). With a full bar, the beverage selection is now better than at the old place. I had the fish and chips, my pal the reuben and both were the good, hearty meals I had remembered. Authentic thick fish fillets and real hand cut fries - nothing like the out-of-the box stuff you get most places. The reuben looked great - meaty, real kraut and watch out for the horseradish! And they still have that cranky/funny woman behind the bar, Sally. This place looks, smells and feels like a real Irish/British pub.

Bad burgers – This place is ok, but I paid a ridiculous amount for a completely mediocre burger and limp fries. I guess if you just want some Guinness, or to hang with the crowd there, it's all right.
