Do Not Support This Bussiness – This Store's Merchandise is amazing. There is something for everyone in this store. Being here is like being in a magical wonderland.

However, the owners are insane and treat their employees questionably. The co-workers do not get along well with each other. The seasonal help usually is pretty amazing; however the full time employees may be nice to your face but will talk smack behind their backs. most the staff are grouchy and dislike their job.

DO NOT SUPPORT!

Mean grouchy staff member ruined the experience – I can always find what I want here- but each time I go that mean grouchy guy ruins my day. What is his problem? He is so rude! He should stay home. I will travel further to buy things elsewhere if at all possible.

Take a Step back to childhood & Get lost in Play fun! – Magic Mouse Toys offers two levels of play to learn fun! Offerings in this fun toy store vary from trinket type of wind-up flipping frogs to elegant chess boards, and of course, everything in-between!

During a recent visit to Pioneer Square my spouse and I happened upon this store. We were impressed with the friendly & playful staff, comparable pricing of merchandise, variety of toys/books/puzzles/trinkets, and the unspoken invitations to play. We initially went in for a quick browse, which led to more than one hour of shopping fun. I marveled at the smiles from patrons of all ages: infant to elderly!

Most impressive to us were the various under $10. items that are perfect stocking stuffers or gift additions. There is an excellent assortment of brain challenge type of toys, which had several adults intrigued, and became a perfect purchase for certain hard to buy for teenagers and adults! I also appreciate the massive assortment of quality puppets, and as an early childhood educator will return to add to my collection!

It is important to also comment on the environment of this store as it is like an invitation to play. There are monkeys flip-flopping on the floor, cackling loudly and balls rolling all around. There are a lot of "touch me & play with me" opportunities, and sales associates inviting customers to have fun. There are aslo items that are in display cases or higher up and "look with your eyes" not for play unless purchased, an acccetable and expected practice for expensive high-end toys.

We are thrilled we found this gem and we will certainly return many times!

What a HORRIBLE experience!!! – What a HORRIBLE experience. Never again will I take my children to this once-loved toy store.

Where do I begin? Let me start by saying that Magic Mouse Toys has been a special place to me since my parents took me there when I was little. In fact, I bought one of my first troll dolls there! Naturally, I have continued this tradition with my children since they were small, making the drive all the way from Olympia, Washington. Well, NEVER again.

Last week I took my 10 year-old daughter and three year-old son there after a day on the waterfront. Our time upstairs was relaxed and fun as the sales girl was cheerful and helpful, but things took an AWFUL turn when we went downstairs. It was there we encountered the grumpy male sales clerk/owner who is clearly annoyed by the presence of children. I started to feel creeped-out when I noticed him following my son and me everywhere glaring at us. I felt so unwelcome, but decided to brush it off because we were having a great day. When we finally left the basement and went back upstairs, purchases in hand, my son decided to see if the hamster ball would bounce and rolled it down the stairs. The male clerk became so enraged at this accident that he yelled {the way an abusive parent would yell} at my son to, "STOP THROWING THE BALLS DOWN THE STAIRS!" My son {being an inquisitive tot asked, "why?" only to be screamed at again, "BECAUSE YOU BROKE IT!!!" Clearly, it was not what the clerk said but the way he said it that alarmed me. I decided to take my son down the stairs to "show" him what he had done and offer to pay for the broken ball when the clerk stretched out his arms and legs to block our way. Confused I explained to him that I wanted to show my son what he had done {and that I didn't appreciate his yelling, of course} but he just glared at us with a beet-red face. He then continued his rampage and yelled at my son, "YOU'RE NOT COMING DOWN HERE! GO BACK UPSTAIRS - YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!" Mind you, this was directed at a three year-old! I was now becoming very uneasy as I could see this guy was a loose-cannon and clearly losing control of himself quickly! I decided to forget about paying for the broken ball, and took my son's hand and led him back upstairs, only to encounter my fightened and sobbing daughter who had been watching from the balcony of the stairs.

Horrified, we put our purchases back and left the store accompanied by an older woman who had witnessed the scene as well and wanted to make sure that we got out okay.

Needless to say, I will never go back to this store due to the bitter and aggressive man in the basement. I have dealt with his grumpiness before and witnessed his blatant rudness to customers, but he crossed a line this time. I actually felt threatened for myself and my children. Why an individual like this is allowed to continue working among children is beyond me, but I can only assume he must be the owner of the store. All the more reason to never give this place my business.

As an elementary school teacher and an involved parent of two, I will be warning everyone I know about this toy store.

Best Toy Store! – My husband and I stayed in the store for almost 2 hours. We really had a great time and the employees were really helpful in telling us about the toys and things to do around the area. This store comes highly recommended!

I will never give my money to those people again!! – I have shoped at this store once before, it was a pretty quick in and out thing but the clerks still seemed distant, board and annoyed. I didn't think to much of it at the time because I hap more pressing issues. But when I took my sister there this weekend searching for a present for our kid brother, we were discusted and appaled by the treatment we recievced!! We were flipping through a book we were deciding on BUYING for literally 2 minuets when a clerk came up snached the book out of our hands told us "This isn't a library" and put the book back on the shelf. When we told him we didn't appreciate his attitude he told us "f you don't like my attitude then you can leave". When we went to complain about his behavor we were disrespected, condencended and womanized!! No one deserves the the treatment they give their customers.

rude sales clerk, overpriced merchandise – My experience was similar to that of tbmr. The check-out person was apparently one of the owners, and he could hardly have been ruder. True, I was spending less than $5.00, but that was because of the high prices of their toys. I had meant to buy several things for my grandkids, but changed my mind. When I was checking out, the person ahead of me asked an innocuous question about a toy, and the clerk snarled at him. When it was my turn to pay, the clerk was again impatient. I bought a small toy, but I won't ever go back.

Customers do not come first – Awhile ago I bought a travel game board for a present. Later on I realized that the price was much higher than I could find anywhere else. I was fine with paying more than a large-scale box store, but their price was double the highest price I could find anywhere else. When I called, their response was that they were a toy store and it was a convenience that they stocked board games. They reminded me that we live in a capitalistic society. ?????????

Last week my husband purchase a toy for our son's birthday. The packaging stated that batteries were not included. When we went to put in the batteries, there were batteries already in the toy and they had corroded. Returning them was not easily done.

I hate boycotting local businesses and I am a Seattle native who had always enjoyed this store.

Oh, well....
