Horrible vision clinic – I could not beleive how horrible this eye center was. If you have insurance from another state, what a horrible hard time they give you and won't even try to contact your insurance, they refuse to. The women at the front desk are awful, they will not wait on you, They play all kinds of games, they won't help you and just keep telling you so and so will, when so and so gets there she refers you to another so and so. They are rude, do not help you at all, keep pushing you off to someone else.
The manager is just horrible! She is colder than the iceberg that sank the Titanic, she is actually scary. Everyone is very uncoperative if you do not speak their language.
I told them the night before I went on line and researched them and my insurance participates with them. The manager refused to listen to this, refused to have someone call. I then called myself and my insurance was wonderful. I begged Gloria to speak with them , believe me I had to beg. I told her over and over my insurance will pay for the exam, not the eye glasses. When she was talking to my insurance she said "he was wrong, he said you pay for everythiing". My insurance gave her the information, reference codes, approval, every thing to have so it would go through.
I told my insurance how frustrated I was and then she gave me information to go to for discounts on my insurance. I could just not stay there any more, the manager was so scary, like out of a movie. I left then as quick as I could and ran to get away from this horrible place.
Awful, awful, awful! – I went to Seattle Vision Clinic on the recommendation of a friend that told me the doctors were great. My friend was correct, Dr. Kikuchi was great (friendly and very professional), but the optical side of their business was absolutely appalling.
I had brought in a vintage frame to have my new prescription put in. As she was preparing the order, the woman told me that there was some risk involved with using a vintage frame. Having at least 15 vintage frames done over the last 25 years at various opticians without any incident, I took my chances.
I got a call 10 days later telling me that the lab had broken my frame. They were apologetic, but did not offer any compensation for my broken frame. (Later they told me that was their policy, but they never informed me of that fact in advance. They only warned me about breakage.) Nevertheless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought in a new frame to have my lenses put in.
2 weeks later when I got the new glasses home, I noticed that the $150 anti-reflective coating was not applied, so I had to go back again.
2 weeks later, when I got the glasses back, they seemed fine in the store, but again, when I got home, I noticed that my left eye vision was blurry. (When I rotated the frame slightly, it was fine.) I went back to Seattle Vision Clinic and the manager, Eva, adjusted the frame. Again, they seemed fine in the store, but later I noticed the same problem, leading me to believe that the lens was ground incorrectly.
I went back a fourth time and after defensive and rude treatment by the staff, I became fed up and politely ask them to take the lenses out of my frame and refund my money. The woman said, “We can’t do that”, but I persisted. After talking to manager Eva, she came back and said they would refund $400, but they could not refund the $150 that my insurance company had already paid them because, “They already made the lenses.” At that point I just wanted to be done with Seattle Vision Clinic, so I agreed. (I figured losing $150 was worth it.)
In closing, I’d like to say that I am definitely not a complaining, hard to please customer! (In fact, this is the first online complaint I have ever written.) I’ve just had enough!
Whatever you do, don’t have your glasses made at Seattle Vision Clinic!!
Worst vision clinic ever – This is the worst place ever! Their receptionists have the worst customer service in the world. Especially a lady named Pauline, NOT willing to help and gave attitudue to those non-native speakers. Also, most of the staffs there are very rude and impolite. My family and I would never go back there again. I rather pick else where with bad exam but with good customer serivce. If i could give them negative stars, believe me I would. Unprofessional and disrespectful. Period.
Dr. Kichuchi is awesome – I love this office, I can see very well and love the comprehensiveness of the exam and insurance knowledge is great. Not a fancy place by any means, but very honest and clear as far as billing and SERVICE from the provider is good too.
Sorry, but i feel this is important enough to write about. This concerns the SEATTLE VISION CLINIC on Jackson Street . I have been a customer since 1968, and now have my own children, which i still bring there....But.....now...Seattle Vision Clinic office staff has been over the last several years, quite rude about simply making appointments with our DSHS insurance coupon. It stems from louldly talking in their quiet office about our insurance information. Little things like have we brought our coupon from the "State"? Even last year comments like your State coupon is very limited, and does not pay them much. I guess it always feels we are treated different because we are using DSHS low income insurance coupon.. I noticed it is always a little uncomfortable to have our names and insurance information louldly talked, exposing our DSHS status, while other staff look at us like we should have to pay more, only we are the very poor people, and are, or, of a different nature to the staff. The eye doctors are good, but there clinic staff seem to always have problems on professional maners with other DSHS coupon holders as well., because they have so many more customers, since they also accept DSHS coupons, even in 1968. Every time we check in, everyone listens and can here we are DSHS coupon holders, because the staff needs to say insurance information so louldly, but funny thing is, it is always quiet inside That in mind, after this last event which happened at the Seattle Vision Clinic on Jackson street. I am giving a very low rating because of my last encounter with the staff there, here is what hapened this year:
"Can you sit down"
Sorry, but seattle vision gets the low rating for its front desk staff and business. Our appointment that was made and confirmed on the phone, was changed to a different date, without our knowledge, or a phone call to notify us about the change. We just had talked to them one day before our appointment to confirm it too. We came to our appointment for eye exam, and were told are appointment was for the following week. This was after we were told in a mean way "can you sit down, i am working with another person, and when i finish with them i will call you" All we did was to enter, walk up to the counter to check in, waited till someone said we will be right with you, and after several minutes, were told "can you sit down". It seemed we were bothering them by standing where we were when we came up to the counter. We were just there at the counter, to check in. The staff seemed like they did not want another customer to deal with, we see that they do have alot of repeat customers, as we are too. We were not able to convince them about our appointment, they acted like we were wrong about our appointment, even after i told them i took time off of work to get here, we would not just pick a day, come here without having an appointment, but even so, they did not offer us service, simply said you have no appointment today. I guess i would have felt better if someone who over heard this conversation, which most did, since it is always very quiet, would have simply said sorry, my mistake, your mistake, both, or at least see who made the appointment, and who called us yesterday, to confirm apointment, but they did not. Not sure why? One thing for sure is that we wasted this day, without a reason as to why a business can treat customers without even a little respect..
Dr. Chin is great – Dr. Lund has been practicing a long time and is extremely meticulous!
TOP DOCTOR – HE PUT HIS PATIENT AT EASE, MY NEWS WAS NOT GOOD, BUT HE WAS SO GENTLE. AND HE IS FUNNY!!
The Best Vision Clinic in Seattle! – Dr. Gregory Chin is the best, plain and simple. He was the first opthamologist I saw in Seattle and he will definitely be the only opthamologist I see again. So very helpful and extremely knowledgable. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vision.
Dr. Greg Chin is the best – My husband found Seattle Vision Clinic via a recommendation from a friend... he went and was very impressed at the level of service, personal attention, and commitment to the patient's health. Dr. Chin did all the follow up to his Lasik surgery, and everything went fantastically well. I decided to go to Dr. Chin, and he explained my test results better than any doctor I've ever had. He listens, spends time to make sure you have the right lenses, has state of the art equipment, and is committed to excellence.
