47.668687 -122.291048Empty tables and they wouldn't seat us!. My companion and I walked in on a Thursday night at around 7 and there were at least 5 tables that were empty, but the host refused to seat us because those empty tables were set for FOUR. We were told to wait until a two-top became available! We walked by an hour later and those empty tables were still empty. UNBELIEVABLE. I'd be reluctant to eat at this restaurant in the future because of this horrible experience... regardless of how tempting the food might be.
Horrible service... Great food!. My boyfriend and I went there for a nice night out. What we got was great tasting Itanlian food and some of the most unfriendly disconnected service. We had three different waiters while we ate. If you don't mind waiting to give your order, waiting for a water refill, and constantly being asked if you are finished (when you still have food on your plate) than this place is worth going to. Really, the food was great. I just believe that poor service can ruin the meal and even the evening.
A pleasant surprise.
To the previous reviewers: Of course there's Moroccan food on the menu, you guys. The owners are from Morocco.
We enjoyed an excellent crab bisque (so very tasty) and a ravioli with vodka sauce that brought my wife to tears (in a good way). We arrived at 7:30 on a Tuesday night to find the place empty. Service was very friendly, prices were very reasonable, music was very Italian (I think I heard Volare, at one point). The wine list is short, but very well selected. A seat by the window offers a great view of the quiet little neighborhood. We had a great time and will certainly return.
Worst Italian Food EVER!!!!. I don't know who owns this "Italian" restaurant, but it isn't Italians. The special sheet had mostly Moraccan food on it which should have been our first warning sign. My dad ordered Veal Picatta and it came with a WHITE SAUCE on it??!! Have they ever seen or made picatta before? To boot, the sauce tasted like nothing more than flour and water. It was aboslutely disgusting. I ordered chicken that was supposed to be stuffed with prociutto and cheese. The breast had been split, but there was nothing inside it. When I sent it back, the waitress brought it back to me saying "there's prociutto in there, just not a lot, because the chef didn't want it to be salty". Hmm, well, what about the cheese that was supposed to be in there? They didn't offer to remake the food or give us another entre. We left without eating. It was the worst meal ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Avoid Absolutely. My family went there to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was a complete and total disaster. Our reservation was of no use. People who did not have reservations were seated before us. After waiting and being ignored for 30 minutes, we finally left the place. AVOID this place.
This is Italian?. Reservations mean nothing. I ordered chicken and was given veal. I was embarrased when the waiter, buser and chef were standing over my table arguing whether my veal was chicken or not. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
Wonderful. I eat out a lot, and my friends always refer to me for suggestions when they need a restaurant. So I, and many others, have been delighted with all the Bella Rosa has to offer...it's amazing what comes out of that tiny kitchen! The food is outstanding, probably some of the best in Seattle, and the menu is vast, so there's something different for everyone, and for those who go there frequently to relax in style and comfort. Unlike the "trendy" downtown restaurants that place a pricy tag on their selections and name their dishes "fancy" names, you will enjoy the understated sophistication and value you will get at Bella Rosa. This is a rare, Seattle find!
Best Italian Food In Seattle. I've been to most of the good Italian restaurants in Seattle. I must say that Seattle is blessed with a variety of good Italian restaurants. There is one that stands out from the rest in food. From the first time my fiancé and I went to Bella Rossa, it became our favorite restaurant. No other Italian restaurant provides a family service with greta warmth, meaning that a member of the owning family will serve you. Also it is not as expensive as some in downtown and easy to park. The owner Mustafa will always be there to greet you. Things that you must try: crab bisque, Moroccan Soup, any of the veal dishes, the chicken dishes, the fish and the most importantly the lamb!! Also, the pasta dishes are great, since they make their own pasta. Go and try it, you won't regret it!!!
