Treat special need customers with some
damn respect! I have never been more disgusted to hear that not only were the employees at this restaurant rude because my girlfriends son was in a wheelchair but the z,anger was even more disrespectful. A DOWNRIGHT SHAME!

great food and awesome happy hour prices.
All but one experience here was excellent and I am willing to go ahead and call the one bad time a total fluke. Been going here for 6 years and take all of my out of town guests here if we're looking for a good dinner out.
Love the calzones, especially the formaggio and the clucker. They used to have awesome manicotti but for some reason took it off the menu. Also, awesome salads and great hummus.
They have a really decent happy hour for a small local place.
Only bad time I was here involved a cockroach-resembling bug being smashed by the waiter with that black case the check comes in after the meal. Then he left the cockroach on the table as well as our check. It was very awkward but I don't think that guy works there anymore. Plus, like I said, this place is so good that I really just didn't care two months later when I was dying for good Italian.
The customer service is pretty good too. Also, I love all of the old pictures of the u-district on the walls. Good beers on tap usually, though they're small so the selection is minimal.
Love this place

Popular pizza place near U-Village known for its large calzones, gourmet pizzas, hot sandwiches and design-your-own pasta dishes.

Football Sized Calzones- Awesome!.
Their calzones, which are literally footbal sized and served with a side salad for under $10, are hard to beat. On Mondays they have a special and the Calzone is only 5.95, but it is quite busy and getting them can take up to 20 mins (busier when the UW is in session also.) The restaurant is well equipped to handle large groups. The service has always been top-notch. The on tap beer selection is decent. I've had some of their other dishes also, the grilled chicken salad is quite good, the cheese bread is yummy as an appetizer.

pretty good.
The calzones are good, and so is the grilled chicken salad (tons of chicken!). I rarely eat in though, because of the powerful aroma of old bleach buckets wafting through the dining room. I prefer to get take-out. Other people don't seem to mind much, though. They have a huge dining area and are kid friendly. Gets crowded on Monday nights, and after little league/kids soccer games.

Wonderful Neighboorhood Joint.
I love Varlamos ... I've never had anything I didn't like there, and I've had most things on the menu. Plus, they'll make anything you like if they have the ingredients.
My picks: chicken salad, mini-pizza, calzones ... great place!
