I did it myself, and had to pay for it.
I went yesterday to have my hair cut and partial foil. I explained that I style my hair straight, and that I have lots of hair. The stylist (Christine), nodded that she understood, and I let her do the work. When she was done, the color of the foil wasn't what I asked, and at the end, she couldn't even style my hair. First time in my life, I had to do it myself, I did flat iron my hair, while she just stood there next to me, without even trying to help. Oh yeah, I had to pay for the whole service, including styling. Isn't this ironic?
I have to go back to have the color fixed, but definitely never going back. I haven't felt so mistreated before, as I did in there. I don't recommmed this place, their customer service is terrible!!!
Second time's a charm?.
I was unhappy with my first visit, because the gentleman who cut my hair had asked me how I wanted it cut, and then proceeded to do the opposite.
Maybe we just had a communcation problem.
After the second visit which was a few months later, I had come to the conclusion that perhaps I do not know how to ask for my hair to be cut....or....
Girls with curls. If you have natural curly hair & want to have a stylist who is skilled, comfortable cutting natural curly hair, very attentive, confident, in no hurry, then you must go to Headlines & ask for Holly.I can't not say enough about her as a stylist.I had my hair foiled ( for the first time)& cut yesterday & I am over joyed. Immediately After I left the Salon I went to a store a Lady came up to me & raved about how beautiful my hair was so much I thought Headlines must've hired someone to follow me & to stop me to compliment my hair LOL.My husband is so pleased he can't say enough about how wonderful my hair looks .I made another appt. today for my daughter to get her hair cut.Holly thank you again =)
Headlines. A stylist named Mandy did a wonderful job on my color correction and hair cut. She seemed very knowledgeable and up-to-date on current hair trends. The location of the salon is unbeatable--what a perfect excuse to spend time at the Village!
Try it out!. I enjoyed Headlines Salon because of the honesty and realness I received from the employees. No one seemed to come off fake nor did they try to scam me into things, like a lot of other salons seem to do. I highly recommend this salon to anyone that wants a relaxing time inbetween a busy day of shopping at the U-Villlage or from a hard day of work!
GREAT SALON!. Headlines is a fabulous salon! My stylist, Mandy was very knowledgeable about hair color and surpassed all expectations I had going to this salon. The environment promotes friendly, sharp stylists with insight into creating the perfect hair cut or hair color for their client. I highly recommend Headlines Salon and their stylists.
How do you do, Mandy Sue. I was in dire need of some shaping up as far as my head was concerned. By chance, I found Headlines. By even greater chance, I found Mandy Sue, the most exquisitely delicious stylist I have ever had handle my hair. All I told her was, "Make me pretty" and she cut and sawed my mop into something that I wasn't even sure was me, but I walked out of there feeling like a moviestar and looking every bit as good as one. I told myself, "no more once a year haircut, I'm gonna make a regular monthly date with Mandy Sue, the prettiest, sexy weilding scissor lady I have ever seen (with a smile that could melt an ice cap and a laugh that sings like a symphony) I hope she never reads this because I would be so embarassed... but I sure look good. Thank you, Mandy Sue!
A Great Experience!. I am genuinely surprised to see poor reviews for this salon. I've been to just one stylist at Headlines and she does a fantastic job. Her name is Mandy, and she's wonderful. Very professional and on top of what her clients want. I really can't say enough nice things about her. The receptionist is a little strange, but seems nice.
Terrible experience. I went to have my hair colored by Katherine, my hair was light blonde and I wanted it toned to a darker blonde shade. Instead of doing this she used an all over ash brown and added a few highlights. My hair looked grey and I immediately told her I didnt like it. She redid it the next day free and it still looked terrible. Even the other stylists agreed it looked grey and needed brightening up. Her answer was leave it for a few months and get more highlights. 4 months later still grey hair. Horrific salon!
Leah!. Try Leah - she does a great job! She is young, trendy and up on current styles. She aims to please!
