Service FAIL, and now a robocall – Went for service there a couple times. Not impressed, took my business elsewhere.
Now months later I just got a long robocall message from them trying to sell me something. If you decide to do business with them DO NOT give them your phone number.
been in upside down loan for years now – my credit was good but I was sold a car for Waaaay too much money (i didn't understand the process at the time) and after they were not willing to help out at all when I was way over my head. Now I have cancer and cannot get out of the car because I owe way more than it is worth...so I racked up the bills because of the high dealer loan payment and am figuring out how to sell w/out going bankrupt or having repo'd. NEVER AGAIN.
If you like being treated badly.... – Will not return there ever again. My vehicle was purchased at Carter and the customer service that day was great! Ensuing visits proved to be less than satisfactory. No callbacks, snotty attitudes, lack of communication, overpriced service. Never again.
Carter Volkswagen DO NOT GO TO THEM!!! – Called to make an oil change. Got there and they said I needed a 60K done. Got the 60K done.
When I got home. I check the fluids. Fluids was not top off When paper work said it was. VW CSR called and I told them about my oil being low they said contact Jack. When I left a message to Jack about my fluids being low he called and said that it all my fluids was fine. How would he know if it's alright if he has not seen it???? He didn't even offer me to come back for them to take a look at it. So I took it to Jiffy Lube to make sure it was top off. And surely The oil level was 2 qt low.
Great Service!! – I didn?t realize how much I love Carters VW until I got burned at another place.. I usually go to Carters in Ballard to get my car serviced and I have always had a good experience, but I was enticed by a coupon to 34th Street and decided to try the little guy. I got completely burned! 34th Street Garage was rude, untimely, unprofessional and lied about the service they performed (I wrote a review on their Citysearch). The price may be a bit higher at Carter (maybe $10 more tops) but they give you a loaner car when you make an appointment or have a shuttle if you need it, I trust them to perform the services they say they are going to do and they even wash your car. Plus the customer service reps are always friendly and professional! I took my car in without an appointment about a week ago to have some mascara (don?t ask) removed from the headliner and one of the customer service reps helped me right away and hoped in with some Superclean to remove the stain no charge. These guys no customer service and the value of people?s time. I will be back to Carter VW every 5,000 miles, and god forbid in between should my VW give out on me. :)
Expensive Service – service is so-so and way overpriced - I'm facing what will most likely be a $3500+ service bill for a car with less than 65k miles - ouch
Wow... – Here's what happened:
1. Despite the fact that I made an appointment for 10k service weeks ago, they had my car all day and didn't bother calling me to tell me that they "hadn't gotten to it yet." In fact, by 5:00pm, I had called them three time with no return phone call. Nice. They weren't even apologetic about it.
2. They're estimate for 10k service (basically, an oil change, tire rotation and various checks) was $196. After all this I called University VW and found that they charge $109. Hmmm...
3. When I was there picking my car (the one that they touched for the service but somehow found the time to wash and vacuum) it took nearly a half hour of waiting and while I was waiting I saw one of their employees back a customer's car into another customer's car, causing significant damage.
Hopefully, I'll have a better experience at University VW, though I haven't read many great things about them either. I'll never go back to Carter though, that's for sure.
Terrible Customer Service – HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Anywhere else but Carter Volkswagen Saab, that's my motto.
They charged me over $1,000 for my 120k mile check up, expensive but I was expecting that, only to find that after they charged me, they brought my car to me and it had a 17 inch break right across the drivers side of the windshield, eye level. So obvious but yet they didn't mention it to me, when I showed them immediately that I don't want to take my car back without them explaining what happened, they treated me as if I must have brought the car in that way. Unbelievable! The Service Manager was so rude and unprofessional, he almost made me physically sick, he is clearly an uneducated and angry person. His condescending manner is what set me off, he didn't listen to a word I had to say. I believe they have horrible customer service and are partially incompetent as well. It takes quite a bit to upset me, but they did it well.
Best Volkwagen – Great place to go, Service Advisors are great, They have the most loan car in the Northwest, They Have a great Sales Staff, They a Night Crew too
watch out for service fraud – Took car in for oil change, they had my car for a full 24 hours.
Paid bill, got car back and drove home. Cheked my oil to find they did not change my oil.
Went back, they treated me like I was lying to them and said there was no way to be sure if the service had or had not been done.
Staff was condescending to me.
