TS always throws one of the best party's on St Patrick's Day. Lots of traditional food, delicious beer and loud music!

Matt the bartender is the BEST! – Food is fantastic and my drink is always perfectly poured. I really like the bartender, Matt, a lot. He's friendly and very competent. Glad to have this establishment in my neighborhood!

Just keep on walking. – How much fail can you fit into a half hour? I was the only customer in the middle of the afternoon. I popped in for a quick lunch and was surprised at the results. The waiter (who seemed like he was 15) didn't understand my drink order (whiskey and 7-up), and spent the rest of the time talking to the bartender. The hot sandwich I ordered was cold, and the bill was wrong. How hard is it to screw up that badly when there's only one customer? Some how they did it and I won't be back for a long time.

Ditto on the Hunters Chicken, except for.... – I went with a large group before the Storm opener and it was very crowded but we had gotten there early and our watier advised we order quick and get ours in before the other big parties did. Good Advice!!

Having never been I decided to look up it's reviews and wasn't too happy to be going but I wasn't the organizer. The reviews are not great!. The reviews for the Hunters Chicken were good so that is what I had and it lived up to the reputation. Except for the fact that the veggies were over cooked and were swimming in the gravy. YUK!!. I would suggest putting them in a small bowl and keeping them seperate from the gravy and not cooking so long. They were ineatable. The potatoes have very little flavor but a bit of salt and pepper did the trick plus the gravy on them was good too. You could also use the potatoes to seperate the gravy from the veggies. The soda bread also lived up to it's reputation... it didn't crumble easily as in other reviews but it was tasteless. Worst I have ever eaten. My friend had the dingo pie but was very disappointed. Hardly any lamb or taste and should have been called carrot pie. Tons of carrots.

The saving grace was it was close to the game. Would I go back...not likely. If you can find something closer go there!!

Better be Irish – I went there for an event, so I wasn't going specifically to buy food or beer. However, I was more than happy to buy a beer anyway, but was never offered a menu (though lots of other people around me were). I could also not get the waiter's attention, and when I went to the bar to order a drink, the bartender never came over, despite waiting several minutes. Instead, he decided it was more important to wash glasses at the other end of the uncrowded bar than take my money (if he had washed any more glasses, he would have nowhere to stack them). I'm not Irish (or even white), but apparently all the people getting good service were. If you're not Irish, you probably want to spend your money elsewhere.

Great group dining place and exceptional customer service! – If you want a conventional American dining experience, you should try this place. T.S. McHugh's offers great food and atmosphere. From the outside, it looks like a bar, but actually T.S McHugh welcomes family with kids, too. This places is great for sport fans as it has 4 TV screens that usually plays ESPN. It is also a good place for Personally, I love the hunters chicken. It serves hot, right from the oven and the chicken is cooked just right :) If you are thinking of watching the Sonics or T-Birds, or attending any operas or ballets in QueenAnne, you should stop by T.S. McHugh.

In A Word: Awful! – Arrived at 5P. Order to dinner delivery was 40 minutes due to being "slammed" and "very busy"--on a Wednesday night. Both of us ordered the alder smoked salmon. One problem: it wasn't smoked--at least there was no hint of smoking. Ordered the kids chicken and chips for our daughter. The fries were decidely cold and the two cubes of chicken looked to have been fried and then refried. Very tough and difficult to chew. Our waitress was incredibly nice and accommodating but the food--the reason for going there, huh?--was awful. We have been there before and weren't at all impressed. After this latest episode, we will not return.

The dark oak-stained interior is pure glossy '80s, but the crowd is decidedly modern--and so is the beer. – In Short
On weekends, the crowd shifts from after-work professionals to basketball fans and playgoers, since it's a few short blocks from Key Arena and the Seattle Repertory Theatres. It offers a full dinner menu, including a ploughman's plate and New England clam chowder. The beer selection features 16 taps--mostly micro and craft beers--which keep the Sonics' fans content. Occasionally, the place features live Celtic and folk music.

The worst service I have EVER had!!!!! – This was the first time that I have not left a tip at a sit-down restaurant, the service was that bad. The waitress relunctantly took our order, never checked back with us, never brought us our check and stomped away with sighs and eye rolls when we asked for separate checks. And these are only a few of the highlights! Seriously, the absolute worst service ever with the most rude waitress I have ever seen. There are too many good restaurants around to waste your time and money on this one.

A Half Notch Above Denny's – The menu describes the salmon as being cold smoked and grilled over alder. FALSE! It was a small piece of fish, dry, overcooked and definitely not pre smoked! The bread pudding is advertised as the house specialty and had the consistency of jello, very strange. The clam chowder was not bad. Soda bread is dry and will crumble all over your shirt.

If you desire a nice cold Guinnes, TS McHugh's is a good choice, however.

Kidney pie – I was in there the other day, and this lovely bartender (Whom I believe was Matt), gave me the best service I've had in a long time. He was attentive, knowledgable, and actually sold me a kidney pie. I will continue to go back there as long as he's around. Try his washington apples. (They rule) :-*
