When we first relocated we had short term housing nearby and had no clue where to go, what to do re: seattle at all. Mr Choy's was the closest resteraunt that served chinese and by far some years later we make the 25 minute drive religiously. You literally could eat of the floor of his kitchen. This is a spiritual buddhist chef who has expressed in conversation to me 'this is what I am, a chef, it's what I do and I so I do it to my best each day and with pride...Im so glad I make you happy with my food" This is not only THEE BEST CHINESE FOOD WE HAVE EVER ATE and EACH AND EVERY ORDER YEARS LATER IS AS PERFECT AS THE FIRST NIGHT HE NEW WE WERE NEW FACES IN TOWN. No short supply of smiling faces, great service in house or to go. You wont get everything that traditional full menu chinese places tend to serve but the a lot of standard dishes you will have no problem except having to put your fork or chop sticks down! Cheers, happy eating, and be sure to leave a doodle? a note of thanks? on the chalk board near the entry door, and if you like talk a little baseball if ya like (he and his son big fans of baseball). Lastly, he's been known to give regular to go customers heaping extras of rice? noodles? just because he can and always always with a smile and a genuine wish to 'enjoy" Peace

Yum! i walk by this place almost every week and FINALLY stopped in. Why didn't I try it before? No problem with the service (granted it was a slower day) and the food didn't taste like it came from cans! It was really really good! Choice white chicken meat in the almond chicken, fresh veggies, delicate flavors, and soup that was like SOUP and not cornstarchy syrup. I actually ate a ton without feeling gross afterwards!

Don't pass up this restaurant's most excellent food and prices; instead, make it CARRYOUT!! And when you place your order by phone, expect at LEAST 20 minutes until the order is ready! Don't bother dining in, the waitress is a flake and will never check on you to make sure you got everything you ordered, or even on how your meal is. Also, MAKE SURE you read the fine print on the "SPECIAL" signs posted; some of them are for "CARRYOUT ONLY" OR " FOR 1ST ORDER ONLY" and you will get stuck paying more than you expected if you don't read them properly. Enjoy! ;)
