Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We went to Angelina's last night on a whim - happened to be in West Seattle and ran across it when we got hungry. It was AMAZING! It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is really cute with local art for sale on the walls and tables/booths that aren't so crowded together that you're practically elbowing neighboring diners when you try to eat. Our waitress was extremely friendly, attentive, and quick and the food was awesome! We had the fresh mozzarella medallions appetizer, which was indeed very fresh and served with a delicious spicy marinara. I had the chicken piccata for dinner with a side of their mizithra spaghetti (it comes with a garlic pasta side, but I'm not a huge garlic eater so I swapped). Both were exquisite - perfectly seasoned, chicken was very moist, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. My companion had the crab mac and cheese off the specials menu, which was also amazing - we loved the cheddar cheese flavor of the sauce (not trying too hard to be "fancy," ya know?). Both portions were enormous - I'm talking, enough left over for lunch AND dinner the next day.

We live nowhere near West Seattle, but we left Angelina's talking about how we would be making special trips over the bridge just to eat there in the future!

Italian in the Admiral district. Angelina's is almost an institution in the Admiral district. Their food is is well above average for an Italian restaurant. Favorite is their veal marsala with included side of garlic pasta. Popular with families but incredibly noisy. It is not just the customers, the place is pervaded by the clash of china in the kitchen.

Check your to go order before leaving!. When I lived in West Seattle, I ate at Angelina's a couple times a month, until the bad experiences started to outweigh the good ones. I've experienced both the dried out, sitting on the stove all day pasta, AND the fresh, flavorful pasta mentioned by previous reviewers. I think it really depends on 1) Who is working, 2) What time it is and 3) What kind of day they're having.

I moved out of the area about three years ago, and haven't eaten there in at least as long. Suddenly, last night, I got a craving for their garlic pasta and their tiramisu.

So I stopped by Angelina's today and ordered to go. Admittedly stupid on my part, I didn't check the order before leaving -- it was all bundled up and the bag was tied together at the top, so I just left it as is for the 30 minute ride home.

When I got home and opened it, everything was fine until I got to the tiramisu. I had ordered two pieces (meaning to share with my boyfriend, who'd never had it), but what I found in the box was one whole piece and what appeared to be someone's left overs. The second piece was about half the size of the first and the bottom layer was half missing.

I called Angelina's and voiced my concern, and the best answer they could give me was to "let them know next time you come in and they'll replace it." Apparently, they can't give refunds? Being that this was my first time there in over three years, and I never have any reason to go over in that direction for anything else, I doubt I'll be collecting on that offer any time soon, if ever.

I mentioned it to a friend of mine who still lives out there (actually, he was my roommate when I lived in West Seattle, and went to Angelina's with me all those times back then). He told me that whenever he gets tiramisu to go (the only thing he eats there, anymore), he always checks before leaving, because they mess up his order more often than not, too... Put it on it's side, mash it together, etc.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!. My family has been coming here for years...and I think that every year the place gets better and better! I really like their dinners..the chicken piccata with the lemon butter sauce, and the garlic pasta on the side is simply to die for! Make sure you lleave some sauce for bread dipping! Also, my husband and I have recenly discovered that they serve breakfast, and let me tell ya, its the best. I, really like the atmosphere, not stuck up..very casual and family friendly. As for the service, I believe that its just such a family enviroment that everyone ends up knowing eachother so thats why so many regulars keep coming back, but I have also sent many friends a long their way who said they recieved very pleasant service for first timers.

On the down side, parking can be a little difficult to find..and the food can take long when they are busy...but take the family, the kids or a friend along and the food will definetly be worth the wait!

Total Agreement. I have had a very similar experience as the last reviewer. I feel like unlesss you are a friend a someone who works in the restaurant, you will get ignored. I actually really like the food, but will also never go back because the experience is so uncomfortable- it is like being a third wheel on someone elses date. way too uncomfortable. My tab was wrong- also not fixed immediatley or correct. one more of these and I think that it is time to turn them into the state! I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is just not worth trying. If you do go, bring cash- exact change to be more precise. It makes me sick to think that this happened to another customer. How unfortunate.

Worst experience ever!!. We will NEVER go back. Our waitress completely disregarded us. She went on and on to regulars in the booth next to us. It was her last day, and we waited 15 minutes for our check. It was completely wrong. We had been over charged. When we asked her to fix it, she let us know that she saw the mistake, but brought us the check anyways. Our bill was supposed to be $32. When we got home and checked our account, we had been charged twice- once for $341, then $34. Still over charged! My husbad called the manager this morning, and all she had were excuses for the girl- she is one of our best servers, it was a simple mistake.. Not even an "I'm Sorry", NOTHING! Our bank had to void the transaction- and we have to wait two days without that money because it went pending. The food was alright, but the service is so horrible we had to warn people. This is really a white trash restaurant who's purpose is to make money for bad service and food. We are so angry >Basically they stole from us and made excuses. We dine out all the time and have never had so many problems. She even noticed the mistake, yet still brought us the bill?! What a twit. Even with her leaving, the management is so bad that we will not only never set foot in the restaurant, but will make sure everyone knows how bad the experience is. If you wan to keep your money. DON"T GO!!!!

West Seattle Casual. This place is NOT the worst ever! I've been here many, many times and the sauces are fine, as are the pasta. It was recently remodelled. This place has been around in West Seattle for GENERATIONS. I don't think it would stick around if it wasn't any good! The atmosphere is casual and family-oriented, but the food leans towards the authentic, rather than the American versions, of Italian food. It's a dressed up alternative to pizza, and a good place to take a large party.

Worst Italian Restaraunt -- EVER. After reading some favorable and lukewarm reviews of this place, and after hearing praise from friends, I was shocked by how awful this restaurant was. The sauce, something Italian places should have mastered, tasted like it had been sitting in a pot on the stove for hours on end. And not in a good way. The pasta was tough and dried out. I've eaten better Italian food in school cafeterias, which should be enough to keep you from wasting your money here.

With a grain of salt. The food was really good & the prices were okay. I totally think we'll go back again -- however -- I just wish they would do some slight redecorating! The ambiance isn't the best -- only due to the plastic table coverings and cheap chairs.... ! What are they thinking?
