West Seattle's Best Indian – I'd love to say this place is inexpensive, but my friends and I always order way too much food and end up with a hefty bill. Don't worry, it's worth it, and there are always leftovers for the next day. Check this out:

We always start out with Vegetable Pakoras (the fried offspring of greens and potatoes) and some Papadum crackers (think tortilla chip, but thinner); inhaling them along with the accompanying sauces and pickled carrots.

Drinks are either the sweet Mango Lassi (a mango fruitshake) or the sinfully pungent Chai Tea.

After that I move on to Lamb Korma (tender meat in a flavorful, creamy sauce) ordered extra-spicy. My compatriots jump on the Butter Chicken (don't let the electric-red color fool ya, it's not too hot), Chicken Tikka Masala (better than General Tso's chicken ever could be) or even some succulent Goat Karahi (BBQed goat reimagined via the Kama Sutra). You really can't go wrong with this menu and the dishes are designed to be shared around the table.

Lots of toasty Garlic Naan (friggen garlic bread- really) and fluffy Basmati Rice arrive as side dishes, as well as some cucumber Raita sauce (like Yoplait with veggies) to cool things off.

Strange burrito-like creations are made by folding rice, meat, Raita and various sauces in the Naan. It's a feeding frenzy, but we know we won't finish all this food in one sitting. We finish off with some sweet, delicate Gulab Jamun (something like donut holes sitting in a sweet syrup) for dessert. Perfect!

Now it's your turn...

THE BEST INDIAN FOOD!!! TRY THE LUNCH BUFFET!! – This is the best Indian food that I have ever had! My husband and I love to go on the weekends for the $7 and something lunch buffet. The food is so rich and flavorful. If you can't make it out for the lunch buffet, they have an excellent "dinner for 2" option on the menu which comes with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees plus rice and non, and 2 desserts for only $25!!!! They seem pretty family-friendly there too..I see families with kids come in all the time. Next time you're in West Seattle, you should check it out!

We'll take a road trip for this one! – The staff here is so super-friendly that it's like icing on the cake for their yummy food. We were introduced to this place by my sister's boyfriend, and have not stopped going since! West Seattle is in no way close to where we live but the food is just wonderful. I have never left this place with an aching tummy and they are always full of suggestions when you're just not sure what to order. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent Food and Service – The new chef was great! The chicken Tika Malsara was the best I have eaten. I eat mostly at Bellevue restaurants and this is by far better. The waiter was on point all evening long. The food quality was the best. You have got to try this place once for the the price so up. 4 stars

What a great experince and a great meal !!!!!!!! – This was the best Indian food that I have had in Seattle! They have a new chef and have remodeled the restaurant. It is now a very beautiful place to have a wonderful meal. They have added some new dishes to the menu and are using fresh mango for some of these dishes (the mango chicken is wonderful). They are also now serving goat and I would recommend that you try it. And as always there Tandoori Chef is amazing. The Rack of Lamb is to die for.......

1.5 hours and $40 I'll never get back – What awful, bland food! Worst Indian I ever had. I waited more than an hour for takeout and the hostess was dumb as a post. After an hour of waiting I just wanted my money back but she just looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I asked for it. The food was really tasteless after all that. I wouldn't bother writing a review except I'd hate for anyone who knows Indian food to waste their time and money at this place.

I LOOOOVE THIS PLACE! – The food here is awesome and always is. I've gone back many times and everything is always excellent. The service is great, the staff is so friendly and inviting. I am vegetarian and there are so many options, as you usually find with indian food. My boyfriend has had chicken and pork dishes and said it was the best pork he's ever had. Vegetable samosas are a great appetizer, and I have yet to find a dish I don't like. They are in the process of remodeling and I am very excited about that. The only thing that needs some work is the atmosphere and ambience, but it's not enough to keep me away!

Chug a lug – its booze and madness when I'm at the bar. What can I say -- but play -- all day -- anyway -- I'd down - boozehound - of puget sound
