So fricking loud its just plain stupid – Everytime I have been here it has been bad music so loud that you have to YELL at the person right across from you for them to hear you. I will never go back until someone steals the speakers.

Great loud dive bar – Its a good last stop before walking home. Dark and loud, strong drinks, and pretty good food. Not trying to be anything that its not.

Higgly Town HotWings – Yup, this place hit the spot. It was a cold and windy night when I decided to pull off the road and find a nice place to vocabulate with the locals. Ah, they were nice, nice indeed. and the food to go with company. It was all very good.

Halfway between Phinney and Ballard – Thats where this small bar is. Its got a decent jukebox good beer selection and some really cool staff. Come here to rock out and you'll have a good time. Come here with an attitude and thats what you'll get from the take no sh*t staff.

Little-known outside the neighborhood, this laid-back tavern has become a haven for Ballard's cool kids. – The Scene
Ballard Avenue's triumvirate of Hattie's Hat, the Sunset and the Tractor may anchor the neighborhood's nightlife, but this slightly out-of-the-way institution is no secret to Ballard tipplers. Once a rough-and-tumble outpost, the Tin Hat has transformed itself into a friendly watering hole, where the rowdies have been largely consigned to the beloved jukebox (featuring the likes of the Cramps, Stooges, Gories and Devo). Twenty and thirty-somethings predominate, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, yet a healthy after-work business draws a more diverse crowd.

The Draw
This isn't a place to play "stump the bartender." Simple cocktails and the occasional shot are acceptable, but beer reigns supreme. A strong lineup of mostly Northwest microbrews is available, though standbys like Budweiser and Pabst flow just as freely. The menu is comprised of standard bar fare (with some vegetarian-friendly choices), but the preparation is often surprisingly strong.

best bar west of the Mississippi – Love this place - good food, good people and best of all, good booze. Who can turn down free pinball on Monday night accompanied by a refreshing pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon?!

New owners are cool and friendly at the Tin Hat, a chillin' night spot in Ballard. Have a burger and a beer and enjoy good company and good music.
