Fantastic Happy Hour – Happy Hour at Cutters is everyday (including weekends) from 3:30-6:30 and then after 9pm until closing. All shared plates are half off and most drinks are $2.99. You can't beat the value! The bar is large and comfortable though the televisions are old so it's not the best place to watch sports. They've got a great selection of standard Northwest beers. Service is a little slow in the bar but you get what you pay for and you're not paying much for this happy hour!

Combining friendly, attentive service with stunning views of the Seattle skyline and Puget Sound, Cutters is located perfectly for visitors recovering from a jaunt through Pike Place Market. The kitchen's simplest preparations include seared salmon with a spicy crust, a rib eye steak and French onion soup topped with gooey Emmenthaler cheese.
Great Family Place, Excellent Staff – The place was beautiful, and they were so hospitable to our 1 year old. They gave us a great table by the window, and brought our daughter a small bowl of crackers to munch on. She kept throwing bits of the crackers on the floor, and we kept apologizing to the waiter, but he told us to let her enjoy herself and not to worry about it. It was a very busy restaurant, but they seated us right way. The food was great, we loved our waiter, and the hostess was really accomodating. They took care of "parking" our stroller, and when we were leaving, said that if we bring back our cutie again, we're guaranteed another great table! The waiter even reminded us that they validate parking, which we almost forgot about. When we visit Seattle again, we will make this restaurant a traditional stop.
One of the Emerald's City's Best – This place is fantastic! From the food and the ambience to the prices and the service; it is just wonderful. We took out-of-town guests here quite a bit and they are still talking about it a few years later. The Halibut Cheeks are highly recommended. My husband has brought out-of-town clients here as well and they have also enjoyed it. Best of all is the view. I am not sure if they take reservations but I would check and also ask for a window seat. Enjoy!
Wonderful view and meal – Over the past 10 years, I've been here many times for birthday and anniversary celebrations with friends. What a find for great ambience and the seafood dishes are excellent. After entering through the attractive bar, the spacious restaurant is open and cheerful. It's a sister restaurant to Kincaid's in the Bay Area, another great place to dine.
Email COUPON RIPPOFF – As an email member I was supposed to get a regular sized Ceasar Salad and Creme Brulee with my Salmon entree. Instead my salad and deserts were only bite-sized... and the manager has yet to rectify this... when she does I will remove this.
Terrible! – My husband and I celebrated our wedding annviersary yesterday and we just wanted to go somewhere nice and quiet, to enjoy a good intimate dinner. Cutters seemed to be a nice restaurant, and we have never been there before so we thought we'd try it.
The waiting time was horrendous and when we did get our food, it was undercooked, poorly presented, not to mention the extremely tiny portions. For what little we get, the price is absolutely outrageous. We had planned to do other things after dinner but we ended up at home with upset stomachs. We were too shocked and bewildered to say anything and we thought we'd just make do with whatever we had, as we waited all evening to get our seats.
This place is not to be recommended at all. We strongly urge you not to go here as it is not worth the money.
Can I Bring You a Pillow? – I recently attended a birthday party with my grandfather at Cutters in their private dining room. My grandfather is recovering from cancer. The room was set up very formal like with appetizers and wine being passed around, your typical large party affair. Gramps needed to sit down right away so the waiters brought the trays to us (thoughtful). But what I thought was incredible was when I mentioned to the manager that the chairs were hard, she returned with a pillow. I thanked one of the servers for letting us use their pillow on the way out, she said that the manager had ran next door and purchased the pillow. I couldn't believe it! We thought the view was beautiful, the salmon was really good, but the service...EXCEPTIONAL!!! Thumbs up for living up to the customer comes first!!!
Not a very Happy Valentine's Day – Crab & artichoke dip was excellent. Husband ordered seafood brochette (fancy word for kabob). Shrimp on both kabobs were clearly uncooked. Sent it back and 10 minutes later it came back out. Upon scrutiny, discovered that some of the shrimp were still slighty raw. They were very nice about it and took care of our entire tab. Did have a goofy excuse that they tend to undercook their fish and should have asked him how he liked his. He told them it wasn't the fish that was raw - it was the shellfish. I ordered pan-fryed oysters and while they were OK - there were only 6 or 7 and the rest of the plate was french fries for $18. Not a good deal or worth the $$. Ordered a drink and it took 15 minutes or more for it to arrive. Overall - would not recommend.
Disconnects for Large Group – Contacted Cutter's about group dinner on short notice, rep offered private dining room and (supposedly) arranged for separate checks. Cutter's shuttle from Roosevelt Hotel for attendees. Planned for great first night event, showing-off Seattle waterfront and great seafood. But prixfixe menu proposal offered 2 chicken out of 3 choices, no seafood chowder. Manager suggested $35 price point (before tax, tip, and alcohol), was insufficient. Upon arrival, told server privately we had 6 fewer people then planned. He said, "no problem". Sat for an hour before getting anything to eat. View was nice, not enough to keep minds off empty stomachs. Dinner fine, not outstanding. Server approached table and announced reduced numbers were BIG problem, he would charge for additional meals. Also claimed couldn't do separate checks, as explicitly arranged. Situation tense and embarrassing, damper on what should have been enjoyable event. Everything worked out, but not a good scene.
