cheap & strong drinks. happy hour prices rock and the drinks are strong. exactly the place i wanna be after a long day's work on a soggy, cold winter day in seattle. no uninvited small talk, no formalities. definitely not a pick up spot... just an easy, comfortable after-work/laid back kinda spot.

Tell it like it is. I love the no-nonsense style of the Rose. And no matter what your type, it's great to have a bar to call home. I go to the Rose after work especially on Taco Tuesdays when I'm looking to relax.

The Wild Rose is GREAT. I have read the negative reviews listed here, and I just want to say that I have always loved the Rose and will continue to stand by it. It was there when I first came out twenty some odd years ago and it is still there today. Next time I am in town I will no doubt stop by. I only hope JoAnn is still the owner.

User review by coquette. i guess if you need your servers to be phony and to suck up for their tips, then you might want to go somewhere else. if you're comfortable ordering a drink by yourself and cutting your own meat, you can come here and expect a real and relaxed atmosphere. it's a refreshing change of pace.

This is the best Seattle can offer???. I thought the service was okay, but the food is very lackluster and the atmosphere is young, butch and blue-collar. The decor is, ... well, there really isn't any. If you'd describe yourself as older than about 40, upscale or professional, or okay, I'll say it, straight-appearing and desiring same, it's a disappointing experience.

ONLY BAR?!. Well I can say from experience that the Wildrose can be a good place to meet fellow lesbians. However, with the drama, lousy service, only one pool table, it could use major improvement! The best night to go to there is on Wednesdays..the crowd is more diverse and friendlier...The crowd tends to be younger which has it's drawbacks..If the wildrose staff would be nicer and more customer service oriented it would make a huge difference..Considering the fact that we're not in high school any more...cut out the stupid clicks...and be more accepting...

Capitol Hill's one and only lesbian bar is open to all.. The Scene
The Wild Rose provides a relaxing environment for women who love women. Female-themed artwork complements an appropriately darkened space, but what sets the mood here apart from other gay bars in Seattle is an unequivocally welcoming attitude toward people of both genders. As long as you don't mind the sight of girls kissing (and don't make the mistake of gawking), the Rose will always treat you right.

The Draw
The bartenders and servers here go out of their way to make things comfortable and the drinks strong. Skip most of the designer drinks with one notable exception: a generous pour of the Rose's own Crazy Cosmo ($7.50), made with Sauza Tres Generaciones Anejo Tequila, triple sec, cranberry and lime juice. The bar menu is also above average, with lip-smacking house potatoes and thick, tasty bean and cheese quesadillas.

does anybody work here??. The Wild Rose could be so much more if they got some better bartenders and waitress that were more customer service oriented. They were very unfriendlly and did not make returns to us to see if we needed more drinks or anything. Believe me, I didnt tip well at this place. I dont want to be on vactaion and have poor service. Anyways, I loved everything else about the bar, the food was great, and the kareoke was very intertaining. Would I return to this bar...probably yes, I would have to have alot of patience, the crowd and the food would draw me back, but not the service. No tips here!!!

the never-ending story. people have always bitched about this bar. the staff, customers, and the patrons. granted the staff may have off days, and it may be a little hard to break through the initial wall of the customers, i for one have never gone to a bar to seek validation from the bartenders or the customers. truth be told, the wildrose has always been there for me and, i will always be there for it.
