Robert is a great person to see – Robert son of the owner has taken the 70 year old retired techs spot and always charges what is quoted. And the cars are fixed right the first time. And very affordable to most shops out there
Shouldn't you be as good as your word? – My car overheated on the freeway. I have a mechanic I usually use but this was a simple fix a broken belt. I took it to the Richmond Beach Shell station and was told it would be done in a couple of hours. Called that afternoon and told it would not be done until Sunday. Fair I though it is a weekend. I inquired into the amount of the repair and was told a hundred dollars. That was in my budget so I agreed to the repair. When I went to pick the car up it came to 240.00. I had been forwarned that I should take it to a mechanic but I trusted a simple repair and that it would be repaired charging the repair stated. I did not pick up the vehicle instead wanted to talk to the manager who told me his employee did not know what he was talking about and the original amount was correct. If he didn't know what he was talking about why was the employee allowed to give a quote? The manager adjusted a portion but still charged 168.00. When I picked iup the vehicle an attendent asked if I felt taken advantage of. My response yes and I should have listened to the community members I spoke to who said do not service your vehicle here. I would add to that I will not patronize this gas station. Businesses need to stand behind their work and honor their word.
The tech that worked on the car has since retired he was 70. I am the son of the owner and do all the work now. I dont know what went on maybe there where unseen items that where needed and some people you cant make happy. Im well trained in all cars and have hundreds of happy customers with my work. They should of gone to the dealer where they would of charged $125.00 just to tell them whats wrong and these people got it fixed for $168.00.
unfair auto shop – i took my truck in to get diagnost , they charged me $260.00 to tell me they could not find the problem? beware they do not have a clue of what they are doing, a $40.00 scope fee would have been fair.
I have no idea what went on then, other then the 70 year old tech has retired since. Im Robert son of the owner and I do all the auto repairs now and im fully trained in all the cars. I was born and raised in this town and hate to have a bad rap.
Don't waste your time-- – Sure its a neighborhood service station, but don't waste your time or money at this below average service station. Took them 8 days to figure out my truck needed a water pump. Thats a joke. Had it towed to another shop and had it home and repaired in half a day. Have it towed to a real service station that will repair your auto the right way.
I am the son of Harry the owner im really sorry to see stuff written like this. The person that was in the shop then was 70 and now retired. I now do all the work now and im fully trained in all types of cars.
