47.575866 -122.618499this bar taught me a bit about life. love the maple leaf, love it.....since the day i moved to manette district i would walk up to the ole maple leaf( only crawling distance from my apartment) and feel like i was automatically family!( was there to help raise the new flag pole). not snobby and clickish like manette saloon or boat shed. these guys are there to drink and have fun without the bullshit. 25 cent pool( can u beat that), original pool games, original atmosphere, its like cheers in the northwest. the maple leaf is like an extension of your family ( i was new to the region and these guys took me in and took care of me like they had known me their whole life). the bar cat " patches" still holds a place in my heart even though i live in atlanta now. the back yard is a paradise for drunken fun... Andre is the man in charge of this elaborate setup. this leaf regular sets maple leaf sporting standards and makes them interesting whether u like it or not. and by the way.... if you have been drinking to the last minute of legal time...guess what?...u can buy beer to go...wow! the 2 years i lived in this region were the best because of the great people at maple leaf ( these guys r the best , most honest, always have your back... group of great fellas and ladies that ever crossed the puget sound or the hood canal) !!!!!! and by the way.. if your old school steam ship navy...stop on by..there r at least 2 or 3 dudes there that steamed back in the day.....
Its not so scary once you hang out for awhile.. I was recently introduced to this fine estabilish by my Kitsap county friends. I was frightened at first from driving by it for many years without ever stopping, but then she told me they had mini golf in the back and I was sold. Now granted this is not your normal mini golf its someone's creation which makes it all the more interesting to look at. They have a huge backyard area if its a nice summer day. For Christmas they decorate by hanging beers cans together one strings, many, many beer cans. You can tell the bar is dearly loved. Plus there is a nice cat that sits there quietly while I play darts.
Maple Leaf Tavern- Good friends & great memories. I began going to the Maple Leaf Tav;back in the late 90's. I always had a great time. Easily, you are made to feel welcomed. I moved away for ten yrs; but when I came back, they remembered me& was glad to see me. Thursday nite is bingo. Saturday nite, is peanut nite...Sunday sports. My husband loves the friendship, he has developed there, and he dont even drink alcohol. (pepsi only). There is this one really great guy that is a hommie there, and WHen you meet him: You'll be glad you did! He's a real card, & will brighten your day. He has made a fantastic golf course, in there court yard, horseshoes, some kind of football game, & many other games to play, as a group, or w/ 2 people or more. Maple Leaf has got the best $5 steak around. In fact, all the regular hommies that hang there, are very friendly, and caring. You can be yourself there,go casual; or even dressed to the nines, and its ALL GOOD.(I have never worked for them, & i write this because it is true.
garbage. If I could give a half star for selling beer only, I would. This place reeks of cigarettes, is a dirty & delapidated hellhole, and the 2 reviews already posted are CLEARLY from mgmt. This place is butt. If every other place within 50 sq miles burns down, feel free to go here.
Small in size but Great in fun and hospitality. This Tavern is a rustic (old west or Alaska type) built in 1927 even the building has character. Best of all it has some of the friendliest customers and owner / manager you will ever find. Military always welcome. barbeques and potlucks Most major holidays and occasional meat shoots and gaming events check out Mop and Broom Pool and funtastic darts or play barstool bingo. Play horseshoes in the Beer garden or shoot some hoops (basketball) All in all a lot of fun packed in a small package see for yourself!
Heaven On Earth. I have to say that this place is Heaven on Earth. From the first time I went there I loved it.. I tell everyone about it all the time. I wish I could go and see all of my friends I have met there.
