Very pleasant stay – The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly, and the hotel is updated and freshly painted. Yes there is a strong Indian incense smell at the front desk but you are not going to stay at the front desk. It is at the corner of the intersection that leads to the boardwalk so alot of traffic. I would not recommend this place if you are in Santa Cruz for a quiet getaway, but it is very convenient to everything. It has a very nice heated pool, my children really enjoyed it. We had a two queen room that comes with a microwave and fridge - very convenient when you have toddlers to store milk and drinks. It was a five minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. Also right next to a skate park. I would stay here again.
I would stay here again. It was very convinient – It's a Santa Cruz motel so i didn't expect much -- but i was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room - on the small size but that didn't bother me, clean, the bed was comfortable, lots of channels on the tv, bathroom was decent. it's certainly not quiet by any means but you just get used to it. huge fridge in the room where you can put lots of bottles of wine, beer and other drinks. free parking is also a plus. The best part about the hotel is the location - walking distance from downtown and the board walk. also we really loved the pool. it was never crowded. it's clean and really refreshing after a day at the beach.I never made it to the breakfast since it's from 7am to 9am. Overall i liked this hotel. paid $150 a night (for 4th of july weekend). would stay here again.
Excellent price for the location!!! – We went memorial day weekend and i really enjoyed my stay here. The lady in the front gave us everything we needed and more. We ran out of towels, she gave us more.. i needed a cork screw for wine.. she had that. EXCELLENT price for the location! i promise.
If you are a marriott type of person, this is definitely not your type of place but if you are looking to sleep somewhere comfortable and WALKING distance to the boardwalk(with 3 small children under 6y old) this is your place. What ever you do ask for a room near the pool. : )
I'd recommend if you want to get away.. – My family stays here every time we go to Santa Curz. Staying here is great because of the short walk to the Boardwalk, and a bit longer to the wharf. The linens were changed every night, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The only thing that we dont really like (but dont mind) is the breakfast pastries they serve for breakfast. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away for for a few days
I was very impressed – Wow - this is a jewel of a little hotel. This might be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! The room is a little small - but not bad. Nice new carpet, clean, nice people who work here (everyone in this town has been nice). And we got a great deal on Priceline!
