They've earned my business for life – I'm not a fan of car dealerships. I'd buy private party every time if I could. Until I came across Joe Yi at Lexus of Tacoma. He's earned my business for life. I was looking for the impossible, a cheap ($10k range) used RX SUV. I knew it didn't exist, but I was fishing for a deal. Joe spent nearly 5 weeks looing for the right car for me, calling me nearly every other day to check in and give me updates. The guy sells $40k-$70k cars for a living, and he beat himself up to find me a $10k car. He ultimately got me a BMW X5 for that price. Went WAY beyond what was expected. My 2-year old loved going there to see the fish tank, color in the kids play area, and get the free juice and cookie. The whole dealership is professional and a great experience. Joe Yi is hands down the best, most considerate car salesman I've ever met. One 5min negative experience with a manager wasn't enough to sour me on the overall great experience of this dealer.
Worth the money – The price seems to be high-cost for service but the assurance of proper maintenance and checks is worth it. I plan to keep this ES operating through 100k miles and I trust Lexus of Tacoma to help me with that.
Andy Lee is the best service representative. He is very personable, helpful and courteous and extremely professional. He is the face of Lexus of Tacoma for me.
Place to avoid – My fife and I wanted to get luxury SUV, I did my research and we decided to get Rx330, so I new all about it technical data and price ranges. I found few cars we really liked and we went on our Saturday hunt, we drew couple of them around; now we had a clue how it handles. One of the cars on our list was at Lexus of Tacoma at Fife, we came there made a loop on parking lot we didn’t want to spend to my time driving around , went inside to play the usual dealers “offer counter offer” game. We got to a good start with floor sale person price was reasonable, but we still wanted to check few cars before making final decision, and that what I told him; he ask me if I can wait a second and talk to manager, to see if he has any “specials” . So THE MANAGER came over and ask if there anything he can do to have me buy this car right now, I told him the same thing I told to salesman that I want to check few more cars and that I don’t like to rush when its come to a big purchase. He completely ignored what I just sad, he started leaning forward over the table and camp saying: “What can I do to make you buy this car now”. I decided to give him a chance and told to give me a batter deal. I was told that price they gave me was as low as they can go and he went on to his “What can I do to make you buy this car now” and he kept leaning farther over the table into my face so I had to seat back. And this point it became obvious that deal is not going to happed and I being pressured into doing something I did not wanted to do and that what I told him: “ You are being to pushy”. THE MANAGER started to raise his voice and getting out chair and telling me:” I am not pushy, what can I do to make you buy this car now”. I just repeated myself: “ You are being to pushy, I want to check few more cars and if you have batter deal I will come back I buy this car from you ”. All the sadden he exploded, he jumped out of his chair threw his hands in a air and started yelling: “ You are not getting this , you have to leave, even if you come back tomorrow I am not going to sell it to you”.
Its up to you to draw conclusions, for myself, I believe that as a consumer I can change this world one purchase at the time.
