My wife and I have bought several cars from Hannah Honda in Vancouver, WA. Just yesterday we purchased a brand new 2012 Honda CRV EX-L. Our salesman was Dave Sandford and he is great and very easy to work with. We traded in a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 and feel we were given a very generous trade-in. I did some research on the Kelly Blue Book website so I knew what it was worth. This was the most pleasant car purchasing experience I have ever had and Dave Sandford made it a breeze. He is a down to earth guy and you never feel pressured or walk away thinking you got a bad deal. I highly recommend Dave Sandford and would buy another car from him in a heartbeat. Hannah Honda is the best.

The old 'Bait & Switch' scam.
We found 2 cars on Dick Hannah's website we wanted to go look at in person. So we stopped in today and asked about them. The salesman, Sam, Told me right away that the Toyota I was inquiring about had sold yesterday, but that he'd have to look and see if he still had the Ford.
He went in to check and when he came back out he had changed his story. Suddenly he needed stock numbers, wasn't sure what cars we were talking about, maybe the cars were at the Longview lot, would we like to look at some other cars, etc.
We left. All told we were there less than 5 minutes.
I had a similar experience at Dick Hannah 20 years ago or so. They haven't changed one bit. Don't believe all these positive reviews.
NEGATIVE REVIEW for Dick Hannah HONDA. SUMMARY: My Dick Hannah HONDA Experience -- In less than 5 years this dealership has gone from one that offers the absolutely best deals to one that lied over the phone in attempt to bait and switch.
Here is my story, which I hope will help you deal with Dick Hannah Honda. Five years ago, we bought a new 2007 Accord VP (auto) for $16.3K at Dick Hannah Honda. That was the absolutely best deal at the time. This year, when we were looking for a new car, Dick Hannah Honda was the first dealership we contacted. Unfortunately our salesman, Saeed Anwar, left the dealership, and the people there now were different and did not accept my offer ($19K) for a new basic 2012 Accord (auto). Then, out of the blue, I got a phone call from â??Daveâ?? at Dick Hannah Honda. â??Daveâ?? asked me whether or not I liked my previous car (which we like), and told me that he has a new 2012 Accord (auto) for the price I am ready to pay ($19K). OK, I said, Iâ??ll be back in town the end of the April, and I will come. At the end of the month, he called me again asking whether I will come or not; I said yes. Finally, on April 28th, I called him back and came in an hour or so after my call. Well, the car that I came for did not exist. I would expect such a twist from any other dealership (no offense), besides Dick Hannah Honda. Moreover, I was so sure that â??Daveâ?? was honest, I brought my wife â??to buy a new Honda Accordâ?? with me. Then I met â??Daveâ??s Managerâ?? (this guy has never gave me his card). â??Davidâ??s Managerâ?? said that he can not do anything to meet my expectations. Well, I knew that at that time Honda Motors ran a $1.3K manufacturer-to-dealer cash back â?? so at least he had the room to fix the problem. I believe that â??Daveâ?? lied to me from the beginning to bring me to the dealership. I do not know how he got my phone number and how such an idea came to his mind, but that was what he did, and that was what his â??managerâ?? considered normal. The next day, I asked Dick Hannah Honda to provide me with the names and positions of these two individuals; they never responded, which I translate as a further approval of these actions. Well, we decided to NEVER AGAIN buy from Dick Hannah Honda, which hires and protects people like that. We also decided not to buy our next car from Honda Motors, who stands behind these guys. So, we did both. Weâ??ve just bought a new 2012 Legacy (auto CVT, pziv) from Dick Hannah Subaru for $18.75K â?? thanks to Ammar, his boss, and Costcoâ??s Auto Program. That was the best deal we could find, and we are happy with this purchase, which took 1 day from our fist visit of the dealership.
Weâ??ll likely be shopping for a new car in 2-5 years. We will bring our money and will be looking for the best deal for the car we want. Will Dick Hannah or Honda Motors earn this money? I do not know. What I know â?? Dick Hannah Honda will not. Now it is up to Honda Motors and Dick Hannah to decide whether or not this story reflects their standards of service and is a signature of Hondaâ??s dealership of 21st Century.
I hope my review will help to those of you who are still deciding where to go, what to buy, and how much to pay. Maybe it will help Dick Hannah finally find time to respond with explanations and with the names of these two employees of its Honda dealership.

The Best Price policy at Dick Hannah Honda made it phenomenally easy to buy my new car! Lewis Williams, my salesperson, answered all my questions about the car and the buying process with a smile. Everyone at Dick Hannah Honda was friendly, courteous and helpful. I still can't believe I bought a new car, they made it so easy! There was no pressure to buy, just useful information given in response to my questions. The dealership went out of their way to find the car I wanted in the color I preferred at another dealership and trade for it. Also, they were extremely fair in valuing my the car I was trading in on my new Honda. I have been bragging about Dick Hannah Honda, Lewis Williams, and everyone else on the team to friends from coast to coast! I am excited to begin this relationship that will last for years thanks to Dick Hannah Honda's customer loyalty program which includes, among other wonderful stuff, free tires for the life of the car! Thank you, Lewis & everyone else at Dick Hannah Honda! You made what could have been a stressful experience completely stress free! You deserve the highest ratings across the board. Upfront disclaimer: I personally *hate* buying vehicles purely because of the sales games dealerships love to play. I realize this is standard practice in the US, but I detest it. When looking to buy a vehicle, I let dealerships know I do not play price games, period, and that they need to be up front with me on their best possible price. I expect a straight answer, and the second it becomes apparent they are doing otherwise, I walk out and don't come back. I have no tolerance for it. Several dealerships in our local area have already learned that lesson. In 2000 when looking for a new Honda Odyssey, we had to go all the way to Seattle to find a no-nonsense dealer. (don't think DH Honda was there then)
So, we came to Dick Hannah Honda at first simply because they had the most stock of the model we were interested in looking at, even though they were a slightly longer drive from where we live in the western suburbs of Portland.
On arriving to test drive a couple of models, we had a great experience working with Mary. She explained their sales model right away: salaried salespeople & "no-haggle" absolute lowest pricing from the outset. She knew the models and made it clear by her actions that she really was interested in helping us figure out what made the most sense. For example, she didn't shy away from having us browse their pre-owned vehicles. She also explained their "Loyalty Rewards Program", which turned out to be a real incentive for us to consider buying a new or used vehicle there.
Two days later when my wife and I returned to let her have a test drive, we worked with Scott (Mary was away) and found him to be equally well qualified. By that point, we had already looked at several vehicles for sale by private party, had seen how well they retained their value in general, and realized that buying a new or used vehicle from Dick Hanna with their "Loyalty Rewards Program" might be worthwhile.
After the test drive and some additional consideration of opportunity cost, we decided to pull the trigger and buy a new Honda Fit. Throughout the process, Scott was outstanding in being helpful and informative but not pushy. Their finance department was able to electronically transact the loan with our credit union without our needing to shuttle papers & checks back and forth.
All in all, we had an outstanding experience at Dick Hannah Honda, and we'd recommend it to anyone and everyone in the Portland area.
