Ranged alongside the suits are the City Hallers and the Courthouse crowd, whose conversations range from zoning restrictions to indictments. Eagan's is one of the best listening posts in town, where those who want to be in the know pick up the skinny on what's going on and who's doing what to whom. It's hard to believe, but true, that the place is named after a scholarly priest-teacher who mentored the owners as kids attending Marquette High School.
