You'll quickly understand why your paying a little bit more than at Balistreri's.

Don't let the outdated exterior fool you--inside you'll find excellent Italian food and a stunningly huge wine list.. The Scene
Both its unassuming exterior and simple name might lead you to think Pizza Man is your run-of-the-mill pizza dive. But it's not. Gourmet Italian food and a terrific wine list make it one of Milwaukee's most beloved diamonds in the rough.

The Food
Start off with escargot, Pizza Man's most popular appetizer. Then move on to the pizza. A three-day aging process gives the crust a translucent sheen and an almost sourdough taste, perfect for the artichoke-and-cream-cheese combination or for the fresh tomato and spinach topping. Entrees at Pizza Man include wild-boar ravioli and chicken with artichokes. There is a full bar with over 300 bottles of California wines--all available by the glass or the bottle.

Best Thin Pizza. Best Thin Pizza I've ever had! A must go-to when visiting Milwaukee! Can't wait to go back and try the deep dish.

Pizza Man is superior to all the rest. Pizza Man has not only the best pizza I have ever tasted, but offers a wide variety of other excellent entrees. The atmosphere is truly unique and it's location on the east side is great. Make reservations though, because the wait can be brutal. Be sure to ask for a booth in the back if you're on a date.

The Best. I have had a lot of pizza over the years- but Pizza Man takes Top Place! The crust is so delicious, no one could complain about eating it! The toppings are so fresh and bright in color. The pizzas never look "old"; even 2 days later its still good! No wonder they have been in business over 30 yrs!

great veggie saute & chicken primavera. The veggie saute is flawless; the chicken primavera also. Wonderful private, high-backed booths. Good service. Open late on weekends. Best wine selection in town.

Love this place!. Whenever we have visitors in town, we make sure to take them to the Pizza Man. You would not know it by the name, but not only does Pizza Man make some incredible Pizza, but their Pasta and Seafood dishes are absolutely amazing not to mentioned reasonably priced. Make sure to look at their wine list (larger than most fine restaurants). I give this place an A+ on food, wine, and variety.

Nice Restaurant. Pizza Man has got really great food. Their pizza is unique and flavorful. They also have many different toppings to choose from and combinations that make for an interesting flavor that you might not have normally ordered. Their wines are diverse and substantial. The service is above average with knowledgeable staff. The other menu items are classic and original, and their baked french onion soup is fantastic. However, trying to find a place to park around that intersection is a pain.

THE YUMMIEST PIZZA. We recently visited Pizza Man after reading the review in Bon Appetite and LOVED the pizza. My husband has been having withdrawals (I went for the wine selection and loved the pizza) and now I have frantically been trying to recreate the yummy crust and load it with all the same great toppings! We rank this as the BEST pizza we have ever had!
