Apparently healthy but a little bland. – Baja claims to be healthier than most fast food and I believe them. The only thing is that the food is a little on the bland side. This includes their salsa. If you do take out then you can just add your own favorite salsa to your dish. The prices seem pretty fair and the appear to be cleaner than the average fast food joint. Give them a try.
too good to be true – authentic does not come to mind when eating here but , healthy food is never bad. The place is clean and the name holds its place. Its the freshiest ive tasted.
Charbroiled meats and fresh salsas add authentic spice to this Mexicali fast-food chain. – In Short
High tables and a busy open kitchen welcome diners into the spacious, brightly lit black-and-white interior. Just minutes after cashiers take customer orders, fresh-made tacos, burritos and enchiladas (stuffed with steak, chicken or seafood) arrive on the nearby counter. The menu also offers several plates of greens, from typical taco salad to fancier bowls with shrimp or mahi mahi. A stainless-steel bar offers several salsas, plus jalapenos, limes and cilantro for seasoning.
Nice Food – Stopped here for lunch one day and ordered a burrito. It was a bit on the mild side, but that's how I like them. Service was prompt and food quality was good!
Make a Run for the Border – Though my fresh-Mex-fast-food heart is still up for grabs, Baja Fresh could be a contender. The fish tacos are wonderful -- rivaling even La Salsa with the zing of their baja sauce. The chips are good -- not greasy at all. I just wish they had more of a salsa selection -- only one type of pico de gallo doesn't seem like enough, though the hot sauce delivers its requisite kick and the verde is mildly sweet. The burritos have potential, but why the need for rice and beans inside? Poquito Mas packs enough of a punch with only meat, cheese and salsa. These extra carbs are unnecessarily excessive.
