Used this business a couple times... then they took our money!!! We called them out to service our washing machine, they came out, said they'd order the part, then they never responded. After we called and called, we've ended up with no parts, no service and they won't give us our money back! We are out $300!!! Seriously! DON'T CALL THEM!!!
Plus, this is a bogus address... they are no longer located there.
Unprofessional – I gave Esser's one star due to the woman who answers the phone. She is always upbeat. Otherwise as far as I'm concerned they are not really running their business at all.
Phone is not always answered during business hours
No call backs on parts ordered.
The woman that answers the phone is great, but gives no answers as to WHY my phone calls are not returned, WHY my parts never come in. This indicates lying. Tell me, - WHY do you work there????
Initially, to give them the benefit of the doubt, I called AGAIN re parts ordered and asked in what manner the ordering was being done....."by email" I then politely asked to be "cc'd" on those emails. The woman thought that was a great idea, took down my email and I've never heard from them since. After multiple multiple tries at trying to work with a company who is supposed to be in business, I gave up realizing there are some real problems within this company. STAY AWAY! Tragic.
Esser was great! The repair man was kind, polite and friendly. He helped out with the warranty people on the phone and made the repair quickly. He has a great deal of knowledge about refrigerators. I appreciated the service much!
WARNING! Very Bad Service! – Before Memorial Day my Whirlpool Calypso washer stopped after 23 minutes of the 45-minute wash cycle. I called Essers and left a message but no one called back. I called a week later just after Memorial Day and got an answer. Technician Jay Esser came out at the end of the week. The machine started working ok [which it always did] so he charged me for a trip charge and left. Just 23 minutes later the machine again stopped. It took over a week for hum to return.
He determined that the pump/motor were allegedly bad, called the parts store [they had one in stock] and said when they got the part they would call. It took TWO WEEKS to get a part that was in stock locally!
Jay Esser replaced the pump/motor and the machine started ok. After 23 minutes it again STOPPED WORKING! After returning Jay determined the main control board was defective. [I think this was the problem all along.]
After waiting ten weeks I called Whirlpool and their service assistance center person agreed that the main control board was probably bad and they had 87 in stock! Retail was $179 plus $30 shipping.
Its now been over 3 MONTHS and my washer still isn't fixed. Esser called Aug 19 and said they would be over on Wednesday, Aug 24. NO ONE SHOWED UP! My wife called them on Thursday and left a message, and I called five times on Friday and left messages. They do NOT call back or answer their phone.
So far I'm out over $300 in repairs that did not repair my washer, BEWARE before you use their service! A year ageo they were great, but not now!
Awful! DO NOT USE this company! – If I could give Esser Appliances of Wisconsin a negative rating, I would. I wanted to use them because they were supposedly factory trained for the appliances I needed repaired, but it has been excuse after excuse as to why my parts have not come in, and it does not take 10 months for parts!!
They (well, I have only talked to one woman each time I have called...she is really nice but I have a feeling she has to cover for the complete slack and poor business practices of the rest of the company) lie on the phone, stating that the parts are soon to arrive, and then they never call back and have even started to allow phone calls during business hours to go directly to voicemail. Normally that would be fine, especially with a smaller company, but they do not return phone calls.
I am certain they are going to be out of business soon. Nobody should stand for this complete lack of service. I just hope I can get my money returned before they go out of business.
You are better off purchasing a new appliance than try to get it repaired through Esser. It will save you time and money in the long run.
Horrible Service, no communication, STAY AWAY – First time we used them they said would be there before noon, showed up at 4:30pm. Worse, they never called with an update!!
Foolishly, we called them out a second time. Again they said would be there before noon. Again, they NEVER called to update. We called 5 times leaving messages, none returned. They NEVER showed up, NEVER called.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROVIDER, VERY RUDE!!!!! Don't know how they stay in business......
i love esser appliance (me gusta esser appliance) – i had a diffrent service company out to fix my washer. they actuly ended up coming to try and fix it 4 times but they just made the proublem worse then it already was. I called esser appliance out to try and fix what the other guys couldnt and they had it done within an hour and had the part on there truck. esser appliance your a life saver!
Terrible Service! – I made an appointment to get a recalled part fixed on my dishwasher. I waited 4 hours and the tech never came. I called Esser again and the person who answered said she would call me right back. She never did. I called later and left a message and again nobody called back. I guess they don't want business, and they are not getting mine. Call another appliance repair company, not Esser!
Horrible Service!! – During the week of March 14th I contacted Esser regarding a repair on my microwave. They promptly sent a repair man out that week. He inspected our microwave and determined he would have to order parts from Frigidaire to repair the unit. He indicated the parts would take 7-10 business days to arrive and then he would return to complete the repair. He ordered the parts while at our home via the phone. At that time I paid him via a personal check $74.95 for his service with the agreement that he would return once the parts arrived to complete the repair. As of today, June 30, 2010, I have yet to have my microwave repaired. I have placed calls on the following dates to Esser at 414-422-0837 and left a voicemail message without a response: 3/22, 4/8, 4/12, 4/13, 5/25, 6/25, 6/30. I have also called on the following dates and spoke to Monica: 4/14-I questioned Monica on the two previous messages I left on 4/12 and 4/13 that were not returned. I told her I was concerned they had gone out of business as I had not heard back from them. She was very rude and short with me and indicated she was the only one working and didn't have time to return calls. I told her that was unacceptable after I had given her over 48 hours to return my call. She told me the parts were not in yet and they would call me when they were in. 5/3 - Monica indicated 2 of the 3 parts we needed had come in and they would call me when they were all in. 6/3 - Monica indicated she would check on the part and would call me back. She never did. While I understand Esser cannot control the rate at which Frigidaire delivers the parts, I find it hard to believe that it took that long to receive the parts. In addition, the lack of customer service I received is unacceptable. To this day my microwave is still not fixed!!
Stay Away!! – Lousy at returning calls. I have been going back and forth between Frigidaire and Esser in which to find out if the part that is wrong with my washer is under warranty.
I find myself calling them to find out about the repair, if it may be covered under warranty with promises to call me back. I do not have the time for this, my husband is newly disabled, we have 3 children all in school.
The last time I spoke to them was last week Mon (which she has said she was going to call me the Friday that just passed.) and she said she would contact a tech to see if this is covered, which I called today to see if she had found out anything. (a week later) She proceeds to tell me that I need proof of purchase, but the sticker on the washer says 4/05, which Frigidaire told me that was acceptable without the receipt. Also, the manual states that motor controller is covered up to 5 years, but the part needed is motor control board. All I want to know is if the motor controller and motor control board are the same thing.....
I've called Akrit and have been told that when they are here on service call, they can call Frigidaire to find out if this part is under warranty. Which to me, I just want to know if it's worth my time having the technician out here. Being as IF it's not, I pay for the service call. Which I paid one already and paying another one, I would have been better off buying the part I need off of Ebay.
But upon calling Esser today to find out anything, the woman was very rude . And when she explained to me I need the purchase receipt, and I explained to her that I don't understand how that is benefical, just more work for me to go through to get the proof and then to go through ALL that to find out it's not covered, is not worth it in my book.
But when I explained to her what Akrit told me, she said very rudely, "Ok, I'll find out AGAIN from the technicans. Thannnnkss BYE! *Click*
Not worth it, not worth the hassle or the goose chase they like to have you on.
Really, not the way to handle a business if you ask me.
