We've been taking our pets to Crawford Animal Hospital for over 15 years. I love their personal, attentive, and professional care they give. Our pets deserve the best, and Crawford is it, period!
Crawford animal hospital is amazing and we love Dr. Baker and Dr. Hoyer. We have been taking our dogs here for that last 15 year + along with our bird at one point. They have a great staff, know our animals, greet them and pet them, give them treats. They have reasonable prices and have never pressured us to do anything that is not necessary. They have great recommendations for other specialty doctors. One of our dogs ate some fake berries with wire, and we rushed him in immediately and he was the same one who had a broken foot when we rescued him and Dr. Baker fixed it right up. 12 years later you would never know, this same dog also just had a curtain procedure done from laringial paralysis(which he could have suffocated from-this happens in older dogs). He is doing amazing from the specialist Dr. Baker recommended.
Thank you for your love and care for our animals over the years!
always friendly and always welcoming from the moment Harley and i step in side to the moment we leave. I love the staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Crawford helped us out when I was unemployed. But they made a deadly error when prescribing a pain med, Deramaxx, for my German Shepherd. He had a torn ACL and the med killed him. If you Google the drug you will see dozens of sites showing the horrible side effects. If you Google some more, you will see hundreds of stories of dog owners who lost their animal to the same drug.
Crawford insists the drug has no side effects that are deadly and refuse to admit their error of not giving me a heads up about this terrible drug.
They accept no responsibility.
And we lost our beloved Zeke to incompetence and ignorance.
Any medication, including Deramaxx has the potential for causing problems, most of which can be resolved. Other medical conditions may have contributed to his decline. Again, we are truly sorry about your loss of Zeke. We do believe the unconditional love our pets give us deserve uncompromising care, which is what we try to give to each of our patients.
My family and I, give our dogs only the best and Crawford Animal Hospital is the best! We have been taking our dogs there for years and have only received the best care. Before we went to Crawford another vet wanted to put our dog down. Needless to say we weren't happy with that decision so we decided to go for another opinion...we went to Crawford, best decision we made! Through the help of their great vets our dog was able to live another 8 years happy and healthy. Since then we have taken all our other dogs there and have highly recomended Crawford to our family and friends and they have also been very happy there. We think Dr. Hoyer is the best, as well as the other doctors and the techs are also top notch. They ALL care about your pets and treat them with kindness and diginity!! Their prices my be a bit high but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and with Crawford, in my opinion, you're getting the best!!
Thank you! A furry friend isn't just a pet, they are family. It's important to treat them as such. :)
Wish I would have read reviews first – I wish I would have read the reviews first. They really do only care about the bill. They are not thinking about what is the best for the pet.
I am very displeased with Crawford Animal Hospital. I have a small yorkie and he was making funny noises when he was really excited. I brought him to vet to have him check him out. I thought that it could be collapsed trachea and the vet asked me a couple of questions and then ordered x-rays and IV work and sent us home with pills that cost $3/each. ( I found them online from multiple websites for under 50 cents each. So why so much there?) I went home and did some research online and found out that it could just be reverse sneeze. RS is very common in little dogs and is not a threat to their health. To determine if it is reverse sneeze you palpate the throat. If no reaction when they make the honking sounds you plug their nose. If that stops it, you have reverse sneeze. No need for meds, IV work or expensive x-rays. I also found out that the meds he gave us could cause trauma to trachea. So the meds are actually damaging to little dogs. When I called the doctor about it he suggested that I breathe in his nose to help him stop the reverse sneezing. WHICH MEANS he was well aware of the possibility of reverse sneeze and instead of recommending I try the two methods to determine RS he charged me $320 on services I didn't need!!!! When I told our groomer and doggie daycare people they all agreed that I should never go there again. Crawford is all about racking up the bill not the pet!!!!
THINK AGAIN BEFORE BRINGING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!!!
They tried to PIRATE ang GOUGE me for services as well. – I recently discovered the same price gouging as previously described in a review. My initial thought was that the person who left the review may have gotten emotional about a situation with their pet and Crawford Animal Hospital. However, my experience was very similar. "Pirate Pricing" as previously described should be amended to: "Pirate Pricing and Practices".
Terrible service, and outrageous attempt at gouging. Quote one level range for a pet's services, then attempt to get nearly $200.00 more (roughly 170% than originally quoted - ON THE HIGH END).
Terrible Service, Pirate Pricing STAY AWAY – If you like to be treated like a third class citizen and enjoy being slapped in the face with an invoice that is 150% more than the high side of their quote, then head over to Crawford Animal Hospital and get ready for abuse.
The receptionists were uncaring ogres, Dr. Hoyer was cold and condescending during my visit. Lisa, the Vet Tech, is completely clueless. When quoted for services in advance I was given a price range. When I arrived to pickup my cat, they wanted $120.00 MORE THAN the high side of the quote!! Do the math and you?ll soon learn they?re pirates trying to squeeze people out of money.
Do yourself a favor ? STAY AWAY!
not very compassionate about animals – This vet clinic is by far the worst I have encountered. They wouldn't help with a squirrel who had broken both hips. They were too concerned with rabies and themselves than the suffering of an animal. They also would not treat an injured pitbul because the owner was a little short on money. THis practice is only concerned about making money, BEWARE!!
