My wife and I hadn't been to the Traprock Inn for a couple of years but used to go regularly to enjoy one of the best Burgundy Steak dinners on the planet. Two days ago we went back for another. The first thing we noticed was that the parking lot was nearly empty. It used to be hard to find a spot. The next thing I noticed was the smell of stale cigarette smoke as we walked in the door. In spite of these two warning signs, we decided to venture in for a memorable steak dinner. The waitress was pleasant and service was prompt. We ordered our steaks medium well and medium rare. When we got our salads it looked like the small pack of crackers had been recycled a few times. The steaks both came medium rare and quite chewy. The burgundy marinade also tasted like it had been reused too many times. What a shame. It used to be a great place.
Traprock restaurant needs to shut the doors, for good! – We have gone to this restaurant for 10 years but in the last 2 to 3 years it has decreased in service and food quality.
We just ate there tonight and we were disappointed with our waitress, who was rude and really off the wall with odd comments and treatment, she was a middle aged chubby blonde woman and I advise to run not walk away if you happen to get her as the waitress.
The food was deplorable, the chili that used to be good was burnt with a bad consistency.
The onion rings where greasy and overdone.
You would think that they couldn't get the drinks wrong but I asked for lemon and recieved a lemon peeling.
This is the very last time we will ever enter that restaurant.
It was a good place to eat at one time. It really is a pity it has sunk to such depths.
Couldnt wait to leave.... – Very disappointed with this restaurant. It was higly reccomended by family and friends, so I took my family to dinner on a Saturday night.
Needless to say, the food was horrible. The wife got ribs and chicken, and I got the chicken. It seems like the cooks favorite cooking utensil is the deep fryer. The chicken, you could tell was deep fried more than twice, it was soo dry. The "bbq ribs" had a ladel full of cold sauce poured over DRY ribs.
Dont bother complaining, here, either. They'll just quietly wander off and nod their head.
I dont reccomend eating here, unless you plan on drinking...a lot.
We all went home hungry. What a disappointment. They used to be good!
This is the Worst Restaurant Experience my wife and I have ever had.
Great food... Friendly PROMPT service... Ambiance a bit iffy :) – Great food... Stopped in for a late breakfast after a referral from a friend... Food was wonderful, huge portion of hashbrowns, pancakes were wonderful and an omelette second to none.... My wives food was equally tasty (according to her... I did not sample) :) I am a gentleman!!! Our waitress was cuter than a gnats ear and very friendly... Service was prompt and friendly... We will be going back to try the dinner menu soon... Wife said coffee was wonderful... I had OJ.... Prices were very fair... Try it you will like it... If your looking for ambiance... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well you know... Over all it was great food, great service... and NO I do not won the place or work there... :) Just a happy first time but not last time customer!!!
What happened? Not the same place – This place used to have great food. Stopped in a few months back and had horrible food. I gave the Trap Rock a second chance for breakfast on a Monday. We waited almost an hour for our food. The hashbrowns were cold and my over-medium eggs were raw. Sorry Trap Rock - you used to be a great solid place for chow.
