Nightmare! – Where memories begin but nightmares continue.
I should have walked out during the sales presentation of the used Expandable. I should have cancelled everyting during their closing process. I should have left without the camper during delivery. I should never have gone to Wagners. They lied. They were incompetent. They failed to do any of the cleanup they promised. They failed to disclose a major problem with the camper, insisting "everything is works just fine". Oh, we'll fix it -- but the runaround got to be completely ridiculous. After 3 months, I took it to a different dealer and paid for getting the leaking door seal fixed, only to find out the problem was major and would cost several thousand to really fix. If I could aware a "Negative Star", I would. Stay away from this dealer and fine someone reputable!
Years of camping and NO ONE compares – I actually had a great experience.
No one in the state could come close when I bought my 2012 Puma. I also shopped close to 20 dealers, most of which never responded to my emails and never called me back. Wagner's was right on top of everything!
I owned many campers before my Puma and I never got the service I deserved until I bought my Puma at Wagner's! I've had a couple issues with the camper Memorial Weekend which were fixed immediately. I've never been let down with Wagner's. Dealerships we've purchased from in the past will never see my business again!
I never once thought anyone was dishonest from Wagner's. I was never even rubbed the wrong way.
I don't ever see myself buying from anyone but Wagner's! They also have an A+ BBB rating which is more than most other dealerships that have been around that long... well over 40 years!
Where Memories Begin.....Yeah Right! – Wagner's slogan is "Where Memories Begin" and it tells the whole story to a T.
As 69papa wrote in his rating, the place is deceptive at best....the store booasts of great service...but no service area was shown to us when we were searching for a travel trailer.
We were searching for a particulare model of a Puma, and were told that they didn't have one in stock, but maybe their other store had one, and we were given directions to that store...guess what...there wasn't a model at that store eiher, so instead of just calling that store, we were told to drive there, another 60 miles of wasted gas, and time, because they didn't know what was in the inventory at the other store.
My wife had a particular floor plan that she wanted, and they told us they'd locate one for us...guess what again, two wasted weeks of...maybe, I think we found one, and the biggest punch in the gut...when they located that model it was on the East coast, we'd have to pick it up, or there would be a huge delivery charge of over $1,000, and magically the price went up by over $2,000, and the colors weren't even close.
I can tell you this, after all the llies, stories, and stalling I was burnt out for trailer shopping, and had in my mind that ALL retail outlets for travel trailers were as dishonest as these guys.
Fortuneately, I was reading the ads in our local paper, and saw a place that was limited in stock, but they had an interesting ad that made me want to drive the 25 miles to see the offer they had in the paper.
I drove to Peshtigo to "Kountry Rhodes" located on the maiin street (Highway 41), and met an HONEST salesman. He showed us every trailer we wanted to see, and came with us to explain the trailers as we went through them.
The asking prices were displayed in plain sight in big numbers so they were easy to read. We settled on a great trailer, and went inside to start negotiating...surprise surprise..John showed us the invoice for that trailer, told us what he needed to make on it (and you have to admit..a business needs to make a profit to stay in business) but John wasn't looking to buy a condo in FL off this trailer. SO we settled on a price of one-thousand ($1,000) over invoice. To us it was a good deal.
We must have shopped ten (10) or so (even going to Madison) dealers looking for friendly , honest people to do business with.
Our rating of Wagner's RV Center in Suamico, Wi.....you can do better, just look somewhere else, and usually the smaller dealers WANT to Sell the trailer, not retire on one sale. They know that by today's mooney standards...if we're looking for a trailer it means we want a good deal with a good dealer standing behind the final handshake.
Dishonest Sales Tactics & Changing Prices – Tried to buy an RV from these people but they wouldn't give me a straight answer every time I asked a question about prices. They don't clearly publish prices on any of their trailers, and the prices seem to change whether or not you have a trade in. When I inquired about warranty service they just changed the subject. I've now come to find out they have little or no Service department. I finally gave up and went down the road to another dealer.
