Do NOT eat here...It's REALLY BAD!! – This place is so bad words can barely describe how awful it is. We ate Easter Brunch here a month ago and I hated it. My friends wanted to give it another try so we went for Mother's Day. So much for giving this place the benefit of the doubt. Not only is the food old and stale so is the owner and his staff. We were greeted by a receptionist who obviously hates her job and shows it by the way she greets the customers. The food is the worst! The shrimp smells/taste bad, the lasagna is burned, the salad is aged brown and the desserts are dry. These people pile old food on top of the so called "fresh stuff". Don't waste your time or money here. It's overpriced. You are better off at the McDonalds down the road.
Horrible!! – First of all I am not friends with the owner of this restaurant. Only a friend would say something nice about this place.....
"I don't have time for you, I'm too busy" must be Ed's famous words. He's too busy stiffing people out of their money. I guess this is how he thinks a business should run. This man along with his staff are extremely rude. The food is horrible and the place looks like a dump. Water stains and missing ceiling tiles do not make for a romantic evening. This restaurant is very dated and is in need of a make-over, beginning with the owner. I would not recommend having any kind of event at this dump.
Don't Waste Your Money – Rude and arrogant receptionist, indifferent service, poor quality food served in undersized portions at rediculously high prices. If it's a choice between this place and staying home and going hungry - stay home! If you're still determined to eat here despite the warnings, stay away from the soup. It's served lukewarm in spots, cold in others. Get the drift?
BEST BRUNCH IN THE BAY AREA – I have been going to the drying shed since 1982 and I can't say enough about it. My friends and family have had weddings, baptisms and funerals there. The service has been fabulous and the food delicious. This is a family run establishment and over the years I have come to know the owners.
I had to laugh when I read the review from "doreelee". It seems that her parents 30 year history of dining at the restaurant speaks louder than the owner not wanting to inconvenience his clientel while playing directory assistance for her personal agenda. Kudos to Ed Ramsay for knowing his priorities.
My favorite dish is the peppersteak. The soups are always flavorful but the chowder, on Fridays, is by far the best.
Not recommended!!! Owner is rude!!!! – My parents went to this place for almost 30years. I called there just to get the DJ's name & number who works there on Fri nites. The owner Ed Ramsy, was the rudest man & have spoke to in a long time. He was so rude and actully hung up on me 2 times. He said he was too busy to talk to me and said he didn't care what I needed. The food is actually not even that good, and the waitress was not friendly or helpful at all.
I will report them to the Better Business Burearu
Overrated – This restaurant was recommended to us for it's fabulous filet mignon. Because it was a 10 oz filet we decided to split it. We were charged $5.00 to split. We did get an extra salad but only one small potato and run of the mill vegetables. We ordered the filet medium rare and it was served very rare. The service was almost non existant. We would not recommend this establishment.
Well Known in My Family – This is one of my favorite places for steak, as well as being a staple in my family. We've been going here for years The Milanese Filet Mignon is probably one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life. Not only was it tender and succulent, due to being drenched with olive oil and garlic, but the seasoning was perfect. My husband loves the Prime Rib with the stuffed shrimp. Their meals are excellent. Would recommend to any steak and seafood lovers!
