avoid furniture store – I bought at couch from New West furniture on 8/25/09. We specificially stated the couch should have firm cushions. The couch arrived on 9/26 and when I tried out the couch the two end cushions were softer than the middle one. I called Anthony the next day on 9/27 and he said to flip the cushions. This didn't help at all. He said he would call the factory and get back to me the next day. He never called so I had to call him on 9/29, and nothing was accomplished then because he said it was his day off. I called again on 10/1 and he said that he ordered 2 replacement end cushions and they came in and told me he could deliver them the next day. He would get back to me on the delivery time. 10/2 comes around and no word from Anthony so again I find myself having to call him and left a message. He did not return my call (as usual) so I called on 10/5. When I tried leaving messages on the machine at the store, someone would hang up as I was leaving a message. This happened at least twice. I thought how rude and they don't want to face this issue. Finally another man picks up the phone and I am getting angry by now since up to this point I was patient and wanting to get this resolved. I'm not used to being lied to (about the cushions being ready) and phone hung up on me. The man takes my message down and says for sure Anthony will call me back. You guessed it, that was on Mon. 10/5/09 and he still hasn't.
Here is the bottom line:
DO NOT buy furniture from this store. If something goes wrong they won't take care of it, won't pick up the phone or will hang up the phone as you try to leave a message. When you do leave a message, they won't care to respond. Their customer service is abhorable! This is not a way to treat customers and they will not want to resolve any disputes - they will just try to avoid talking to you! This is in no way a manner in which to do business, especially if you want repeat customers or word of mouth business generation. They have gotten the opposite reaction because of the way they have treated me!
I would give them ZERO stars if I could. I don't like being lied to and avoided and not having someone take care of customer issues with their furniture.
