Three nines make it more enjoyable – This course is known for it's three nines and length. You'll want to take a cart unless you're use to walking a long course with steep hills as there's a bit of a distance and elevation change from greens to the next tee box. It has a large driving range so practice during your lunch break is possible if your meeting is in the immediate area. But because of its location little lunch time practice occurs here. If you can slip out for an early afternoon round this could be one of your best choices in San Jose. If you're a long hitter you'll like this course. It's greens are fair. Its conditioning and maintenance are good. After you've played it, drive to Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz, it's well worth it, located overlooking the Monterey Bay. The hour drive across HWY 17 take you to one of the Top 100 Course in the country; Pasatiempo. It's semi-private so go to their website for reservations and directions. world wide web dot pasatiempo dot com

A terrific John Harbottle-designed track, this is one of the best new courses in the Bay Area. – The Nines
The course has three distinct nines with three distinct looks. The three nine-hole runs are called Mountain, Lake, and Canyon. As you might imagine, the Lake course has water on all nine holes, the Mountain course features some hills and some wind, and the Canyon course is carved in among the rolling hills of south San Jose with excellent imagination.

Earth First, Golfers Last
In constructing the course, Cinnabar's designers claim to have maintained the natural slope of the terrain and protected the native wildlife. In golf-speak this translates into lots of timber and lots of lost balls. Beware!

The Scenery
One of the most amazing aspects of Cinnabar is its seclusion and beauty. Despite being located on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of the Valley, this assiduously maintained course affords breathtaking natural landscapes.
