Not that great for the price – I was looking forward to having dinner here after reading various reviews on other sites. I definitely had higher expectations for this restaurant. They were out of the dish I first chose to order. Our party ordered trout and steaks which were good but ordinary for a more expensive price tag. The decor is dark and rustic fitting of the tourist industry of the area. The only exciting dish was a special, poached duck egg on a bed of greens. It was very busy and the server kept up with us but in a quick, impersonal way.

Jackson's special occasion destination for gussied-up game and plush mountain trappings. – The Scene
A faint whisp of firewood smoke hangs in the air, putting diners into a cozy, relaxed state of mind as they enter the warmly-lit, log cabin-like dining room. Exposed log beams, crisp linens, and a raging fire in the stone fireplace further the intimate appeal. Seamless service, no matter how big the party, only adds to the allure.

The Food
Chef Jeff Drew's lavish sauces and big-ticket ingredients put an upscale polish on his contemporary cowboy cooking. That means crispy potato pancakes don designer smoked salmon, shipped in from Daniel in New York City, and that impossibly tender rare elk chops arrive robed in a silken mole-like sauce. Game meats are the kitchen's pride and joy, and dishes like smoked bacon-wrapped rare wild boar medallions deserve a cult following. Likewise the jumbo homemade onion rings, which'll have you up at night craving more.
