It gets cold in there during the winter. Wrap yourself if you go during the winter. They don't crank up the heat, so gloves, boots, and a heavy jacket can make winter movie going much more comfortable.

We can go to the movies again!. As a family of 6 we had given up going to the movies. With tickets costing us $45.00+ and then adding popcorn, drinks and or snacks (that is if we did not sneak what we could in) we simply could not afford it any more. The drive in was out of the question.....not all could see the screen and we spent most of our time running to and from the restrooms not to mention the possibility that is could rain. I heard by mouth about the $1.00 theater (on Tuesdays) and could not believe it without seeing it and sure enough, it was true. $1.00 is great but even at $2.00, we could still afford to take all and go see a movie. Then you add $1.00 hot dogs and we can make an entire evening out of it! We have never encountered anything dangerous in the parking lot and so what if the place is a bit messy at times......so is my house! We do our part to keep this wonderfully cheap place open for business, if there is trash on the floor we pick it up which is a good thing to teach any child any where you go! I would give this theater 10 stars if I could!

Unless you absolutely have to see it opening day, wait to see it here. Love this place and so, apparently do others because it's usually packed. $2.00 each for the large screen experience is unbeatable ($1.00 on Tuesdays).

This theater understands that families can't afford to go to the theater anymore because it's priced so incredibly high. With that in mind, many of the movies at this theater are more family friendly than most theaters. I know that for my wife and I we've finally started enjoying going out to the movies again which is something that we'd almost given up on.

One little criticism... on especially busy days (Tuesdays and weekends) it can get pretty messy (popcorn, candy wrappers, etc...).

Well... it's cheap.. Movies are older, usually second-life attempts.

Seats are old and worn... this theater's got some milage on it (seen better days).

Parking is limited but free... of course your parking in Federal Way, in a dark lot behind a building shielded from the view of passing vehicles. I really don't like this situation... if I had a daughter, I probably wouldn't let her go here.

Upside? A chance to catch a older flick on a big-screen saves you from buying the DVD. Tickets are cheap... good place to catch a evening flick as long as you're not trying to impress your date (unless you plan on showing off your self-defence skills :p).

Not high on my list, but ok to catch a matinee screening of a movie that isn't playing at the mainstream theaters anymore but haven't met DVD's yet.

GREAT PLACE TO GO SEE MOVIES!!!! 5 stars!. I love this movie theater it was amizingly cool in there, their staff is awesome, and not to mention their seats are just un-freaking-believable. if you are cheap and like movies i'd recomend this anyday, tho on tuesays its only a dollar.

the only thing they could inprove is, well nothing i love that joint.

Awesome job staff!

oh and i wonder if they'd sell me a poster of the dark knight after it comes out? lol

Great movies for the $. This is not your regular $2 movie theater. It has a great price and the environment is pleasent. The only bad review I give this theater is that some of the audience can be rude & that a few of the chairs are outdated. Overall, the place is pretty clean and the movie prices how they should be. Also, the customer service was friendly. Good job Gateway staff!

They've cleaned Up. Compared to some of the slummy theatres I've been to this one is great! They've hired some very friendly people and offer a good choice in movies. Thier screens are new it looks like or maybe they just repaired them and they look better. I think it's an excellent theatre and it's resonably close to all the action in that area. I've been to many theatres in the puget sound area and in other states, this one is not the worst in the area, in fact I know a few others both here and in another stat that could beat it by far. This ranks probably #4 on my list of like 30.
