Plenty of screens and decent prices – The bargain matinees here are what it's all about. The movies aren't quite second-run, but they're just not the freshest -- stopping here maybe 2-3 weeks after being at the bigger spots. The theaters in the back are particularly smallish and basic, but ticket prices make up for it.
Those who think second-run means second-rate must not know about the Pickwick. – The Main Theater
Once inside, those used to modern shoebox cinemas may be surprised by the sheer size and beauty of Theater 1, the 1,400-seat main auditorium. (The newer, smaller are in a brick building behind a neighboring strip mall a short walk away. See below.) Picture quality is crystal-clear, and the Dolby stereo sound is good.
The largest, theater 4, is upstairs and equipped for digital sound, as well as 70mm presentations. Theaters 2 and 3 are a bit cramped, but the projection quality is excellent. They are often near capacity or full on weekends, so arriving early is a good idea. The Pickwick also has a full-sized stage and orchestra pit, making it a fine showcase for the occasional live productions that dot its schedule.
Classic PickWick – It is a great art deco style theater for theatre 1. Theatres 2-4 are in a building to the right of the main theatre and through a walkway about halfway down the block. Theatres 2 and 3 are small seating and 4 is upstairs and medium seating.
