The Vista is a gorgeous movie house on the border of Silverlake and Los Feliz that shows first run movies - usually a nice mix of blockbusters during the summer and award-worhty films during the fall. The theater was renovated recently, and every other row was removed, allowing for lots of leg-room and unobstructed views. The matinees are the best deals in town.

New films and old vintage theater. Fun side of town to grab dinner afterwards.

Large Egyptian statues and red velvet curtains drape the walls, giving this theater a great old Hollywood vibe.

best old world feel – We went here on president's day and this is my new favorite theater. Say no to the multi plex and yes to the vista. Our city needs places like this to thrive, don't let it turn into a pinkberry!.

Great date! – I love going to the Vista. The atmosphere is very laid-back and casual. There isn't a herd of people trying to get in and out of the theatre like at the AMC's. There are two great bars within walking distance including the Tiki Ti and the Good Luck bar. Both are really relaxed, intimate places. We love to have a drink then walk to the Vista and enjoy a great movie.

We saw the Matrix this weekend and the sound effects rumbled my chair! It's a great night out.

The Vista – A classic old Hollywood theater from the 20's.

It's has legroom for a basketball team.

not just a "movie-viewing room"! – i recently came here for the first time and was blown away - especially coupled with the fact that i saw "the two towers" here. the egyptian art deco interior is amazing, the high ceilings and general feel of the place make it a very enjoyable experience. a definite plus on the seeming 5-foot wide leg area. i don't know what admission is like (the date paid!) but i'm sure it's much less than at the arclight, and definitely more worthwhile. the parking situation is not the greatest, but whatever. check it out.

Terrific Experience – There are a few negatives concerning the Vista but nevertheless I marvel at what has been done to the interior. Not enough can be said for the spacious seating arrangements. Everyother row of seats have been removed leaving lots of leg room. Now if only the seats were better. The interior is worth the price of admission.

Feel the theater as it used to be – Real seats, realy neat egyptian deco, this place has lots of character. A statement usualy reserved for a dorky date. But the sound system is great, the screen is big enough. The seats are great and even though it plays top movies it's often not packed. I come from Burbank to go there and it's worth it.

Lots of Legroom!!! – A beautiful theater, very large and great sound system. Just did some renovations so the legroom is great and the seats are big and comfortable. It's only a single theater, so there's no chance you're going to hear what's going on in the next room. Great place to watch a flick!

Great Theater for Action Films – This is a great theater for action films. The floor rumbles with the action on the screen making you feel like your actually within the scenes and not just watching from the outside.

I love all the leg room in the center well seating, it is truly the only theater this 6'4" person can sit in and stretch out!

The bathroom is a little small but if you get in there quickly you can get in and out fast. There really is no room for a line.

I recently saw the cafe is now open next to the theater, thank God! Somewhere to rest your laurels while waiting for the box office to open.

Rows Removed For Comfort – I thoroughly enjoy visiting the Vista. Large Screen, old time renovated theater with every other row removed.

You can sit in the middle of the middle isle and never have to utter, excuse me, pardon me, excuse me, pardon me, oops, pardon me.
