I love Mansion! My friends and I go there regularly and we never have a problem getting in and the service is stellar! Bottle service is available if you get a table and it is well worth the price because the servers are very accommodating. The music is awesome no matter what you are in to and there?s a hip-hop room that?s a fun escape from the main dance floor. I always end up meeting a ton of people and we?ve even brushed elbows with the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Snoop, Nelly Fratado and we went for the M & M?s show (aka Britney) and we thought it would be lame because of all the attention but it was actually really great and one of the best times I?ve had in weeks. If you live in Miami and have never been to Mansion, you need to go. If you are visiting Miami you need to go. If you love going to clubs Mansion is the place because of it?s size (it?s HUGE) and the dj?s are tight.
OVER-RATED....Never again – (Mansion is Over-rated) The long line and cover charge wasn't worth it. Plus it doesn't help when the security guy continuosly accepts money to let people CUT in Line. You are tired and angry before even entering the club. My guy and I were in line for 1.5 hrs. Long enough to sober up. That's ridiculous. Definitely don't recommend this place. The cover charge is crazy. I even tried going on Hip Hop weekend...and it was worse....$100! Luckily ladies got in free that night. But then again....that sucked too. Cause it was filled with women that thought their butts were cute. NOT !!!! Then you have to do "Bottle Service" to sit down anywhere. The waitress was very rude. Snotty and stuck up. If you don't want to serve, then don't work. It's that simple! The service sucked. From security to the waitress. This place is huge. I can give them that. It's a huge piece of Sh-t!!!! BUT NEVER AGAIN !!!!
Overrated and nothing special – This place is way too much over rated. First of all, as you guys all know, club atmosphere change every minute, and this is NOT an upscale club. You do not have to dress up to impress, just regular club outfits. Only thing that's upscale is about their drink prices. Also, entrance line is VERY long, expect about 30-45 mins waiting guys. Music is okay, and drink is not bad either- the impression that I got from this place is this is a typical 'tourist' club, not celeb hang out anymore.
Nothing Special – My best friend & I went down to SoBe for a long weekend. We had heard alot about Mansion so we deceided we would troop down 10 blocks to find this "amazing club". Well the minute we approched the entrance I knew this wasn't going to be fun. But it was my best friends birthday and this is where she wanted to go. We must have waited 40 minutes to get in. Once we got in we relized only 1 room was open and it was beyond packed. The drinks were outragously expensive and the bartendards we rude. It was so not worth the time and money wasted. I would recommend many different clubs before I ever recommend Mansion to anyone looking for a good time it SoBe.
wayyyyyyyyyyyyy overratted – this place is a joke.i thought it would be one of the hot spots of SoBe and boy was i wrong, the waitresses think they are the hottest people alive...very rude, and very expensive....
i have been to way better clubs in Atlanta.
oh and yeah the place smelled like Mildew...dont go there
Overrated – I was looking forward to enjoying great hip-hop in one of the many rooms in Mansion. When we went during December 2006 only one room was open. The ambience was nice and the place was packed with lots of different kinds of people. The DJ played a hodge podge of songs, which is fine, if that's what you're looking for. As much as I like "S*xy Back," there was no need to hear it twice in 2 hours - one time regular and once with a techno twist, especially considering that the song is over 3 months old. The newest hip-hop song I heard in 3 hours was a TI song from 2004.
I would go just to say that you went there, but it really isn't the spot everyone makes it out to be.
It's cool but not the hype. Better clubs can be found elsewhere. – My sister and I were looking for something to do at 1:30 am Dec 16. We were told by the valet at our hotel to check out the Mansion. At first we went to a club next door for about 30 min. It was empty and seemed to have a lot of unattractive people there (except the staff who was very attractive). We left and went to the mansion. Initially we were told to pay $300 for a VIP table. We wanted to see the crowd first because we were not impressed with the people on the side walk who looked real corny. After a few minutes, we were allowed inside. We did notice one of the door men was not allowing us in because we are not size zero. However, when he noticed how much attention we drew on the streets by all of the other guys, he waived us through. The drinks were very weak especially for $11. No set dance floor and a lot of pretentious people were there. It was funny to us because they wanted to be ballers but they were fakes. So that night we did not see any celebs. The music was like any other club - nothing to fresh especially for a Saturday night. The bouncers were friendly and cool. The bartender was a little snotty. She seemed really bored with making drinks and ready to get off the clock. Whereas the bartendar at the club next door was very cool and conversational, the bartendar at the Mansion could care less about working for extra tips.
I would recommend it to someone who had confidence and the look. Even if you're not a size zero, as long as you're an hour glass figure (nice hips and apple butt a plus) with a cute face, you will be let into the club. Don't expect too much stardom, though. The people did seem pretty corny and weak compared to some of the upscale clubs I've been too before. Honestly, the cover charge should be $5 since you can either take this club or leave it.
KINDEST DOORMAN IN THE WORLD – Apparently it is extremely difficult for males that aren't fit and well dressed to get into huge clubs like these. It is true that women get in much sooner. The TIP FOR EVERYONE IS NOT to go there when the party starts, because you have to line up AND pay. It's much better and easier to get in after 2am or so. The story I would like to share with you is that this bouncer pulled 2 bucks out of his pocket to pay for me and my girl's cover when we ran short of cash. I could not have expected it and I truly appreciate it. He already gave us 50% off the regular price too. WOW WOW WOW. and this place is huge, with a terrific sound system that distinctly separates two rooms of music.
Great Dancing/Music/DJ, but the weakest drinks on SoBe. – Mansion has the weakest drinks I've ever had for the price ($11). I complained to the super pretty bartender, and he said that their policy is to pour 1.5 ounces of booze in a mixed drink. As a bartender myself, I'm very familiar with what 1.5 ounces is, and their's aren't. Let's put it this way--after 4 vodka tonics (Smirnoff-their well vodka) I didn't even have a buzz. What the pretty bartender recommended to get your money's worth is order whatever liquor you want "on the rocks" and for $1 more, you'll get three ounces, instead of supposed 1.5. I tried this with a different bartender at a different bar (there are many in the club) and I definitely got my money's worth this way.
The DJ was AWESOME! He played everything--Rap, Hip/Hop, 80's, Rock, Reggae, Reggaeton, etc. There isn't really a set dancefloor, so people are dancing everywhere. There is also a very eclectic mix of patrons, which is refreshing. They're not all pretty boys from the frat.
For us, it was $20 to get in and we didn't have to wait in line because the concierge at our hotel gave us bracelets--I think that these only prevented us waiting in line, though. I'm pretty sure the cover is at least $20 no matter what. Probably more if you are a dude waiting in the line. Check with your hotel concierge to see if they have anything for this club or any others. I HEART concierge folks in general. They are very helpful.
Also, there is LOTS of smoking inside--contrary to Citysearch description. Smoking of all sorts of substances. I think this only added character to the club.
Worst club I have ever been to! – I have been to ALOT of clubs everywhere but this is definitely the Worst club EVER! Dont go there...spend you money elsewhere. Music is really bad, people that work there are the rudest people you will ever meet and the atmosphere is just awful! I wouldnt even go there if there was no cover charge!
