Home court for the University of Illinois Chicago basketball games, as well as concerts and other events. – The Scene
Since 1982, the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion has played host to a wide spectrum of events, from Madonna concerts to religious programs to professional wrestling matches. Besides concerts, the building hosts citizenship ceremonies, commencement speeches, swearing-in events for city officials and the University of Illinois at Chicago's basketball home games. The acoustics at the facility are better suited for sporting events than musical entertainment.
Four reasonably priced concession stands, with hot dogs, soda and pizza, are on the concourse of the Pavilion. There are no beer hawkers roaming the aisles, as the Pavilion has a strict no-alcohol policy.
