This is the original. One of the most fun, intimate venues on the strip with so much music history. They show most of the well known live acts of all the music clubs on Sunset. Their elevator is a trip.

not a culinary beacon, but it's conveninet – i wouldn't go here just for the food. in fact, i'm not sure you can! i think you have to have a ticket to the show. but ... if you are seeing a show and you are hungry, this is not a bad option. just be advised you can't see the stage from the eating area. prices are a little high for quality but this is HOB. full bar. servers are pretty hurried on busy nights. parking is crazy expensive.

Saw gym class heroes here! – I saw gch-who I LOVE-here so I can't complain about my experience. I ended up finding this weird entrance- that lead me to their dressing room!!! I saw travie!!! I was frozen. Also had dinner and drinks before the show- my friends got crazy and the people around us were annoyed but I'd say service would go. Would definitely go back if there was a hot show!

Do you really expect me to eat that? – Warning: this restaurant is a trap which, even tourists, should not fall for. They lure you in with the music (because let's face it- there is no other reason you should even be there). Maybe you think it's a good idea to have dinner before a show? Do so... elsewhere.

My friend and I decided to split a chicken sandwich and a pizza. How could anyone screw up a sandwich and pizza, right? Well- you start by serving the cold chicken breast on a three-day old bun. Then you undercook the pizza, making sure to spread the toppings haphazardly and unevenly upon it, and VOILA!

The show stopper was when the bill showed up. $60 seemed unusually high, even though we had a sandwich and pizza with a couple of cocktails. Upon further inpection, we noted that a generous "service fee" was already added to the total, as was a [theretofore unmentioned] 7 or 8 dollar "rail fee" (for sitting on the balcony).

Next time, I'll be sure to dine before I go.

Great gospel, nothing else – Totally the most overrated "LA experience." Here's why: buffet features super-long lines, crowded little picnic chairs at the family-style tables (most tables aren't private), they practically shut down the buffet once the music starts, not giving you much time to really enjoy your food unless you go really early. The 40 dollars must be strictly for the concert, because the food is NOT on that level, and any alchohol must be paid separately for 10 bucks all you can drink. The gospel musicians encourage the crowd to basically stop eating so you can wave and clap and sing and dance, which is great, if you are there to praise the Lord, but not if you didn't get a chance to eat or drink your money's worth. I'm not a devout Christian or nothing, but there's also something slightly weird (in a bad way) about mixing mimosas and buffet-style eating with songs of spirituality, deep emotion, and praise. Real conflict of interest vibes for me. My advice is go see a gospel concert somewhere more comfortable after eating a really nice buffet elsewhere. Or go to a Baptist church or something.

Great music, great food – The atmosphere at this place is just great...the food is not the best but they have great choices for a chill, hangout place....not too expensive either...and if you are lucky, there might be a band performing so you can hear some great music when hanging out with friends....and you catch the Sunset scene as well

This is a pretty good venue. You feel pretty close to the stage wherever you stand. Unfortunately, there's not really any cheap parking around since it is the Sunset Strip.

Best place to see a show on Sunset Blvd. – I've been to this joint for countless amount of times with countless amount of friends and the experiences was always amazing, from the start even being outside, to the great food, drinks, people you meet and all the way to the show. I was once invited up to the 'Foundation Room' (courtesy of Capital Records) a few years ago and the place was like a hipped out psychedelic room, very private and very reserved with food and you can mingle casually. Meanwhile on the main floor, it gets really really packed before the main event starts, so relax if you don't want to see the opening acts, chill with some drinks and eat all you can because the southern food here's just fantastic.

Riding off a name.... – It's good for out of town guests and all. Good acts play there too. But the seating is LACKING most of the time unless you pay tons for the upstairs balcony (way higher food and drink minimum qualifies you). Often you must stand. The food dishes sound good and homey but don't always live up to it. And the gospel brunch only has quasi gospel -it's not the choir and stuff you think you'd see. Not bad place, but not as great as the name implies either. Hipper than Hard Rock, inferior to Key Club.

More Like House of Rules – I'm sorry but I used to go to HOB in New Orleans about 10 years ago and it was fun.

It is the most CORPORATE, GENTRIFIED venue with the rudest security and searches that are such a joke. What are these guys looking for? They made a girl with a tiny purse, empty out everything meanwhile it was chilly and rainy "They are like what's that, what's this? VERY RUDE ALL THE WHILE. Then they go over every inch of you for like 3 or 4 minutes.

IF YOU WANT A CAVITY SEARCH GO TO HOUSE OF RULES. ME, I'LL NEVER GO AGAIN NO MATTER WHO IS PLAYING. A TOTAL DRAG!

Ok place for a concert, but don't park there... – So I went to see a concert there, and it was pretty good. They let us in with plenty of time etc... If you drive, find anywhere else to park. The valet parking is $15 bucks. If you do park there with the valet, CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY!!!!! They were in such a hurry to get everyone their cars and going, that I didn't check my car. The next day I found that they backed my car against a wall and scratched up the bumper. I called the valet service, and there is nothing I can do unless their driver filed a claim, and I doubt that happend, so CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
