Take a trip around the globe without ever leaving L.A. - that's the feeling you get when you enter Traveler's Bookcase. The bookstore carries all the great travel books (Time Out, Lonely Planet, DK Eyewitness) as well as carry maps, food guides, travel literature, and specialty books like a guide to naughty Paris for women, and a guide to weird London. There's also a nice selection of world photography books.

Huge Selection of Travel Books! – Whenever I travel, I head to this store because I know they will have the best selection of books on any given place. They have your mainstream publications as well as more under the radar books, and additionally stock a large selection of photography books, travel novels, and maps. The staff seemed very friendly, and there is a nice, cozy atmosphere with all those books crammed every which way into the small space.

Travel far, travel wide, or go local--just be sure to visit this bookstore first. – Globetrotters and local weekenders will find about 14,000 volumes and related items dedicated to travel packed within these walls. There's the obligatory mainstream publications that suit travelers wary of deviating from the tourist trail, but there are more than enough eclectic options for those planning a more unstructured holiday. If you're stumped for an itinerary or need some advice, just ask--chances are the friendly and well-traveled staff has been there.

Maps, Guides and Good Help – A bookstore dedicated to travel literature and guides. The selection is broad for travel literature, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The browsing aisles are not overly inviting.
