Great Venue, Great Time – I went to the Who's America show here including some great hip hop artists and hosted by the man, CHUCK D. This place is great for live shows. The view no matter where you stand is great. You can hear the music on all levels very well. Prices are normal for NYC, expensive. Beer is poured from bottles which I think is a PRO not a CON, no broken glass on the floor=no stepping on it while dancing. It was packed so there wasn't a lot of room for dancing but still had a blast.

Get the royal treatment at this five-star palace of rock clubs. – When it opened in 1998, the Bowery Ballroom was the first major music venue to appear on the Lower East Side in generations. Now, this one-time vaudeville hall and former shoe store is perhaps the most beloved club in the city. The Ballroom's old-style theatrical stage is wide and open, rising above the floor, and an intimate wraparound balcony. The club is also outfitted with bars on all three levels, which allows you to duck down to the basement lounge if you need a break. It's home to mid-scale touring acts, with big-name indie rockers sharing the stage with living legends and the occasional well-known local band. The spacious main room officially has a 550-person capacity, but probably holds considerably more than that. Sight lines are good everywhere, and the superior sound system matches any in the city.

Best music venue in NYC – There is no better venue in NYC right now than the Bowery. This place books the best acts, has amazing sound, great lines of sight from anywhere, a nice balcony, and good drinks. The staff is nice and hardworking, except for the bouncers, who need to relax at little. If you don't like this place, you don't like live music. Popular shows will sell out pretty quickly, though, so get tickets before you go.

It doesn't get better than BB... – hands down the best small venue in the city. the cool lounge downstair is a great place to hang before, during or after the show. the decor is stylish, the sound is solid and the setting is as intimate as could be for a few hundred of your closest friends listening to some of the best talent that comes through NYC.

Good place to see a show – I enjoy going to the Bowery Ballroom to see a concert. There are plenty of places to stand and it never gets too crowded since there are three bars you can go an lean on while you watch the show.

First-rate venue – Booking is eclectic, and even the opening bands are great. The sound system is superb and the bouncers are the best, knowing how to weed out troublemakers without disrupting the artists or the fans.

Rawk all the way! – I have been to about 20 venues and this one is far and away the best in NYC. Parking is easy to come by, the venue gets great shows, the sound is good, they don't use ticketmaster to sell tickets and the staff is decent. The only major disadvantage is the bar prices but whatever it is NYC!

A Dream, Except the Beer – Perhaps the finest music venue in the Northeast block. The sound and ambiance tend to be fantastic, while the bands always seem to be up for the shows here. See a show here, before you leave or come just to go to one here. Get Beer across the street - cheaper.

Best venue in NY! – Saw a gig here for the 1st time last weekend and was totally impressed. The sound system is top notch, the stage is slightly higher than most so you get unobstructed views, the staff is generally friendly and I really like the downstairs bar/lounge where you can hang out before or after the show. In every aspect, the best place to see a band in NY.
