Colorful, chaotic restaurant promises loaded burgers and endless fries for kids and a fully stocked bar for their parents. – In Short
With a bright red color scheme, enormous booths and TVs galore (even in the bathrooms), this loud, lively spot aims to make families feel right at home. The creative menu offers 22 different burgers--from teriyaki-marinated Bansai with grilled pineapple to the 5 Alarm with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, salsa and chipotle mayo. Soups, salads, and entrees of fajitas, fish and chips and Cajun-spiced shrimp round out the casual American menu.
A nightmare – I had a horrible experience here. First off I asked for a smoking table and they said fine and told me the wait time, while waiting we went to the bar where I ordered a drink and lit up, and was jumped about smoking, the bartender says this place is totally non smoking and I said no one informed me pointing to the fact that I asked for a smoking table. They also don't have lighted buzzers or a speaker system to tell you your table is ready, by chance I heard my name over the loud kids and they took me back to the bar and I said if I wanted to eat at the bar I would have ordered there earlier, so I said no, get me a table now. Then my girlfriend orders a fish/shrimp combo plate and the waitress says they are completely out of fish, by this time I'm ready to walk out, so I go to the restroom after which I was ready to walk and the food comes, including the fish dinner, I told the waitress I thought you said you were out of fish, to no reply. I was mad by this point and the manager asked about it and said the meals were comped by them, I told her it didn't matter because I wasn't coming back.
The best burgers I have ever had in my life. – Red Robin has a large variety of ingredients that include burgers with guacamole, blue cheese, along with a variety of sauces and seasonings making it different then the average burger place. The endless fries are the thick steak fries with seasoning on it. They will also cook your burger any way you want it. The service is always outstanding and I only experienced a problem once which they gladly corrected. It is loud and crowded, but it is a burger joint so you cant expect it to be romantic. Even if you only some what like burgers you will love Red Robin unless you dont know what good food taste like. If good tasting seasoned food with a variety of toppings is not your thing or you dont want to pay a few dollars extra for good food then stick to McDonalds.
Underrated – Red Robin has some of the best burgers in STL. I don't know if all the previous bad reviews were because of the location...but it must be. I enjoy the St. Peters location, the service is genuine and is the management. If you have any problems, they don't mind fixing it or even paying for your meal. The choices of burgers are endless and even their other menu items are good. Esp. the southwest pasta and the fish and chips.
Red Fan – This is a great place to get burgers. I have only dined at the Fenton location, but each trip has been consistent: prompt seating, excellent service, and great food served fast and hot. The burgers are huge and juicy (go for "some pink"). And talk about value-they offer baskets of bottomless steak fries!
Best Burgers??? – Red Robin's burgers can be bought in the freezer section at any grocery store.Red Robin is nothing more than a Fast Food chain for kids. The prices aren't that great but the fries are free. Even the fries were limp. If you order anything but the burgers it will most likely come out undercooked. I was with a group and the only entree that didn't come out raw or undercooked was the mac and cheese for the kids. That was too hot. (it was in a plastic bag)Our server was too busy rolling silverware so we sat there for at least 5 minutes with undercooked food. The manager refused to talk to us at first (we even overheard our server say this) when he did come over he seemed so fake and arrogant we refused to take the free meal for the next time we come back.
Reasonable Price, VERY Family Friendly – We've been here several times, and it's been a mixed bag. Whatever you do, don't order anything other than the sandwiches or burgers - we did once, and got undercooked (raw) chicken and a disgusting appetizer (that looked good on the menu). The burgers are better than average for Saint Louis (although, for some reason, that isn't saying much), and the other sandwiches are pretty good.
They are very kid and family friendly, with a reasonable kids menu and a definite effort to keep the kids happy (video games and free balloons, etc...). Some of the waiters can be a little immature (most are college age students) and rude, but I don't expect great service from this kind of establishment.
All said and done, the price of the food makes up for the restaurant's inadequacies.
Great for Vegetarians! – Red Robin offers a wonderful selection of hamburger choices. They will also prepare any of their burger selections with a meatless Boca burger or Veggie Burger. Finally, a great selection for us vegetarians!!!
Great Variety – Absolutely yummy burgers, but a little loud with a LOT of kids.
yummmm – Awesome Food, if you love burgers this is the place for you!! Great management, if something's not right they'll make it right!! people go out of there way there to help the guests!! graet for the whole family!!! HUGE variety of burgers, and awesome pasta's!!!
