Get up close and personal with over 2,000 marine animals at this impressive exhibit, where you can see everything from jellyfish to sea turtles to golden crocodiles, and of course, the sharks. One-time adult admission is $18 but an annual pass is only $40, so if you think you'll come again, go for that.

was well worth the money; awesome tanks and much to see; just as if you were in the wild with an aquarium tunnel over your head; great price and tours available and much variety.

Not worth $18 and Ashley Lucero needs people skill – Given that this aquarium is in the Mandalay Bay, I figure it should not be too bad, especially they are charging $18 for it! Oh boy, were we in for a huge disappointment. I could not believe they would charge $18 for it. It just felt like such a rip off that I contacted Ashley Lucero at the Aquarium. The experience talking to her was even worse than the aquarium experience itself!

Ashley had an agenda talking to me. She was not at all there to hear my opinion. Her agenda was to tell me how wonderful the aquarium was and that I should have enjoyed it. If I did not, it was probably my fault.

Ashley asked me several times how much time I spent on the tour, which to this date puzzles me. Seems to me that she is setting up a trap with this question. If I said it was too long in her opinion, that I obviously had enjoyed my tour. If I said it was very short, that she probably will tell me that I did not take the time to appreciate everything yet.

She also asked me what my expectation were for the aquarium multiple times. And I kept telling her that I did not have specific animals or shows in mind, but an aquarium that charges me $18 should have at least some animals that make me feel like it was worth the $18. A few minutes later, Ashley would ask the same questions again. I told her the same thing. This went on a few times. It was a completely frustration experience. She was getting me upset on the phone. You would think someone in her position would have better PR skills?!

At the end, I did not hear she even said that "I am sorry your experience was not up to your expectation, but there is nothing I can do" . She just kept telling me that I should have enjoyed the aquarium, that it was really my fault. Unbelievable.

What an awesome place – We had alot of fun here looking at all the sharks and other fish. It was so neat. We enjoyed ourselves. I was suprised at how much stuff there was to see. Then we went to pole worx for some pole dancing lessons I couldn't stop laughing.

Worth the visit – It's no Sea World but still really really cool. My daughter was able to touch the sting rays . The jelly fish were amazing and so was everything. So worth going to if you have kids of any age.

A must see for any marine life enthucist – I had a few hours to spend so I checked out aquarium. It was time well spent and a great relaxing exprience before flight back to LA. Next time I will spend more time here than at the tables.

Nice Small Aquarium – A good diversion when in Vegas, especially on hot summer days. The setting is very nice, and the small aquarium will not wear you out. A nice display of sharks and other marine life. A good place for families, which is becoming more rare in Vegas.

Arr. – Great way to see an aquarium, with the sunken ship wreck theme and all. Sure we've all seen sharks and underwater fishies before, but this is Vegas baby; they do it different here! Comes with free audio tour and everything.

Spend an hour exploring an ancient temple that has been slowly claimed by the sea--Vegas-style, that is. – Overview
Feeling parched? This immersion into an undersea world should do the trick. One of the city's newest aquatic attractions, Shark Reef contains 75 species of sharks, tropical and freshwater fish, reptiles, marine invertebrates and rays. The largest is a 12-foot long nurse shark. Ultimately, Shark Reef hopes to have nearly 100 different species swimming over, under, around and through the exhibit.

Features
The attraction offers a petting area, along with a the tunnel directly through the aquarium to give you that deep sea feeling. Watch out for the cool, golden crocodile that likes to stare people down. There's even a section that allows for "walking on water," complete with a display underneath featuring a fake treasure chest and plastic (we hope) skeleton.

FREE is pretty EXPENSIVE – While there is no doubt that the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is well worth viewing, being large, beautiful, and interesting; it is most definetely NOT FREE at $15.00 per adult, and $6.00 or so per child to get in. Did we pay? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely!!!! Would I do it again? You BET!!!!
