Lovely restaurant in the Park Hyatt with views of Michigan Avenue. The desserts are inventive and artichoke soup is delicious.

It's all about the vista from this sky-high lounge. Food is divine and drinks are top-notch. Bring your expense account.

Perched in the Park Hyatt Hotel on the 7th floor w breathtaking views of Michigan Ave, it's hard not to love this fancypants "casual dining" resto even if a spicy tuna roll is $21.

Were it not for the view this restaurant would be closed. – Sandro where are you. Santa Barbarba I hear. Please come back. This place is a sink hole without your scallops and touch. Avoid this place like the plague. Disorganized service. Wine service is poor to non-existent. Food is okay but not what one would expect. I predict this place is going to loose some stars in the next go around.

The most disappointing, appalling experience- – We went there 2/11/07 at Noon for Sunday Brunch and it was beyond disappointing- I can't even find the words to explain.

Much of the food lacked flavor (salt and pepper would have helped), service was terrible- we waited 15-20 minutes to get someone to refill our water and coffee (both completely out). During that time, there were servers, bussers, managers walking around in their suits that completely passed over us and most of the people in our section. We finally called someone over and asked that we get refills- of course they looked at me like, "well it' not my job to pour bevereges but I guess". Not only that, when we got up to get more food, we came back a few minutes later to a table that still had our dirty plates on it. We had to push the plates out of the way and after a few more minutes, someone finally cleared them. There was plenty of staff available to do the job right. The servers we busy half the time chatting with each other in the corner.

There was no fruit (a basic for any brunch), pastries were hard and dry, the potato soup tasted like water, the cheese board looked like a pack of wolves got into it and they never replenished- I can go on.

For $55 per person and at a place with such exposure, I expected MUCH more than a standard menu and presentation. It is so disappointing and frankly a waste of money- I feel like I have been robbed out of $130- there is no value in that place. If the view is what you are finding value in, there are plenty of other restaurants in the city with great views.

This place should be ashamed of themselves charging what they do for mediocre food and poor service. I could have received better service at Ihop.

I am so angry about the whole thing that I feel like contacting the management there and demanding a refund- I am not a complainer either so when I complain, you know there is a problem.

We will never go back. I am just glad we went there for brunch and didn't drop $500 for dinner.

Avoid at all costs!! – My husband and I must have been to a different restaurant as some of the other reviewers because our experience at NoMi was probably one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We were very excited to go there as we had heard great things about it. Instead, we were greeted with attitude and indifference, waited in the bar for a ridiculous amount of time (even though we had reservations) only to then be ignored by the bartender once we were able to get close enough to the bar to order a drink. It only got worse from there. The service was abhorrent. If we were at a burger joint, I might expect to have to repeatedly ?ask? for our waiter, but not at a restaurant that charges $21 for a cup of soup. We weren?t even sure who our waiter was. When he did decide to grace us with his presence, we felt like we were bothering him with our questions. He barely explained the menu or specials and never once asked us how everything was. The sommelier was goofy and highly unprofessional and again, we weren?t even sure who she was. We just thought she might be the hostess opening our wine for us. The only service person we were pleased with was the busboy and that?s because he was the only one we saw on a regular basis. The food was average at best. You can definitely get better sushi around town and my fish entree were dry and unappealing. Do not waste your time on this wannabe place!!

Great City View – This restaurant , while pricey, offers a wonderful environment for a quiet dinner or group get together. the view of the water tower and lake are magnificant. The sushi is outstanding and service is awesome as well.

dont want the whole dinner, grab a bite in the bar, and people watch!

Scallop tart, eh, but everything else fantastic! – I would not recommend the scallop tart (quite bland and of odd texture, even for scallops), but everything else was fantastic, including the service.

It is surprising to find frozen fish and stale bread at a restaurant with such high prices. For $84 for two, I would have expected the turbot to be fresh not frozen. The fish was a bit tough and would not fool anyone who loves fresh fish. I also asked if they could bring me some fresh bread as the one served was also tough and chewy. They said they baked their bread in the morning. Yet again, even though the bread is served warm they try to pass off something old for something freshly baked. Very disappointed and deceiving. I should have gone to Spiaggia where the dorade royale is truly fresh and delicious for a similar amount of money

The Park Hyatt's luxurious modern wining and dining oasis soars above Michigan Avenue. – A swanky, seductively lit lounge leads into a posh contemporary dining room with a mineral palette, luxury appointments, snaking blown-glass Chihuly chandeliers and a spectacular Water Tower view through grand sloping windows. A separate sushi bar at the entrance seats a few diners. Classically trained French chef Christophe David creates exquisite, photogenic contemporary cuisine. Other-worldly risotto is a meltdown of toothy rice, Burgundy, Parmesan, chicken jus and pungent black truffle shavings. Servers ceremoniously pop the tops of Grand Marnier, raspberry and chocolate souffle puffs, pouring in flavor-rich sauces. Seamless service and world-class wines make it a favorite for business dining.

Amazing – Went here for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend, and I would have to say it was one of the best fining experiences ever. From the ambience to the food everything was just perfect. The wine list was extensive. This is one of the most romantic dinners we have had.

We had a wonderful time! – The food was excellent, the view was awesome! Get a window seat if you can. We went for the pre-theatre special (5:30-6:30) and we were not dissapointed. Service was excellent, I even think the waiter was dissappointed that we didn't have more questions for him, what we did ask was answered like a pro. Can't say enough good things about this experience!
