Unclear return policy – I have been on the hunt for the perfect shoe for work. I work primarily on my feet approximately 10 hours a day. Living in West Seattle, supporting local business' is really important to me, so I visited Edie's shoes to check out their selection. The owner was helpful in trying to find the type of shoe I was looking for. Later that day, I returned to purchase the shoes I had chosen rather than buying them online from a larger store (again, trying to support local business'). That night I brought my shoes home and decided that the heel was entirely to high to be worn at work and was regretful that I would have to return them. I was not told when purchasing these shoes that their return policy was for store credit only. The only place it states that is on the receipt you receive AFTER you have paid. I had already scoured the entire store for appropriate shoes therefore, there was nothing else there that would work for me.
I feel this return policy should be mentioned BEFORE someone spends $120.00 on a pair of shoes. I own a business in West Seattle and always stand behind my products. If ever a guests approaches me with an issue, I'm glad to return the full amount of the purchase as I'm confident in the products that I sell.
Edie is a cute store, has lots of cute things but I would absolutely be sure that you LOVE and plan on keeping whatever you purchase, especially if you don't live in Seattle and are just traveling through.
Good selection, bad store policies – Twice my wife and I have been underwhelmed with the customer service at Edie's, and have suffered from a horrible return policy. We had purchased a sale item, never wore it, and could not return it, not even for store credit.
We also purchased boots which came apart at the seam within one week of use, and were given nothing more than store credit. Edie's does not stand behind the products it sells.
We have had some pleasant experiences with employees, but the owner has been downright rude.
Beware of Cutomer Service at Edie's!!!! – I know people are saying what great service they received at Edie's but I am here to tell a different story. Yes, they have a great selection of shoes, but I was met with bad customer service from both the sales person and the manager. I had purchased a pair of slae shoes that turned out to stretch beyond wearability after only a few hours. When I went back to the store to speak to the manager about possibly returning them, the sales person and the manager were rude and unhelpful. The manager's only solution was for me to pay additional money for a cobbler to "repair them". Just be warned that they are happy to help sell you shoes, but do not back up their product.
Great Selection and Great Employee! – I stumbled into this store on my way to my car!
My experience at Edie's (pronounced like EEDEES I was informed) was in West Seattle. The selection was pretty fun, good time shoes!
The salesman Cole was really nice and helped me find the perfect shoe for my big feet! Not the easiest thing, let me tell you!
All and all I must say this is a great store, the Cap Hill store is a bit more trendy, the West Seattle store is more casual. Go there!
Unique Selection – These people know shoes! I find a lot of shops around town have a handful of great shoes kind of mixed in with styles I would never consider wearing, whereas with Edie?s I could see my self buying the entire stock! If you're into fashion and like unique style while maintaining comfort, I guarantee you'll love this store!
Up-to-the-minute, trendy Euro-shoes with a cult following hit Capitol Hill. – In Short
Leather nueva bowling shoes and wedge-heel football sneaks line spare walls alongside splashy, open-toe heels and spongy athletic shoes. Yep, those shoes you snickered at in grade school are back with a vengeance, but now they come in cool, matte colors, a raised heel and football-style detail stitching. Onto the feet of Seattle's movers and shakers go these shoes and they're suddenly very chic-cool. The only disappointing thing about Edie's shoes is there just aren't more of them.
Love Edie's – Edie's rocks. Not only did I buy 3 pairs of cool shoes rocks that I rotate through out the season, my husband, who is the worst shopper in the world, found two great pairs, Asics and Camper. LOVE, LOVE LOVE
The staff was so helpful!
RUDE,RUDE,RUDE!! – Never have I been to a shoe store where the salespeople were so rude. I went there twice and will never go back. Being the only person in the store the two times I went, you'd think that I would get the royal treatment, however, I was completely ignored. When I finally got the attention of the one and only person working there, it was like I killed her first born son when I decided that I just didn't like the shoe that I tried on! Although I like their shoes, I don't think I'll ever go back there due to the experiences that I've had.
SUPER CUTE SHOES! – This store had super cute shoes...although, the shoes I liked and wanted to try on...they did not have my size. so, hopefully if I make another trip to edie's they will have my size in stock.
coolest shoe store in seattle! – Great selection of international shoe styles, as well as jewelry and other accessories.
