These people sold me a faulty phone that stopped working 2 months after I had purchased it. Because of their 7 day return policy said they wouldn't take a "used" phone. I went there Wednesday 3July, I was told to come back on Friday before 5PM. I went there on the said day at 11:15 AM. I ended up leaving at 1:45PM. They told me to come back in an hour for some Marino guy whom I guess was the guy that sold me the phone and was to help me. Next thing I am told this Marino guy is running late, next thing I'm told he might not show up, next thing I'm told he was sick earlier on. For all you know they could've told him not to pitch. They kept telling me to come back tomorrow or Sunday or whenever I have time. I spoke to FOUR staff there, or which none of them would point me to a manager. The customer service here is APPALLING. It's pretty much non-existent. The woman there told me they were busy meanwhile there were 2 people in the whole store!

One of the guys said I wold call the number on their receipt, which I thought was very laughable given that I do not have one because they sold me a faulty one.

They seem to be targeting tourists who are not going to be in NYC for long, that way when they leave, and they're devices stop working they have no way way of filing a complaint or attempting to return it.

Bottom line These people are CROOKS! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Beware – Great prices, but at the cost of false promises. Check the return policy and god help you if anything bad happens with your equipment.

Favorite DJ Equipment & Vinyl Shop in NYC by FAR. – I seriously love this place! The selection of vinyl and DJ Equipment is the best in New York City. They have the best prices... period... and they've been in business longer than anyone else (and it shows). Be prepared to spend some time there as well. It's a great place to hang out.

The ultimate one-stop shop offers not only records, but also Knicks tickets, jewelry and audio equipment. – The Space
Rock & Soul is a block away from Madison Square Garden, so there's always some kind of Knicks ticket-scalping action going on outside. Inside, there's a jewelry counter featuring impressive gold chains and rings. Rock & Soul also has racks and stacks of turntables, mixers, faders, speakers, whistlers, woofers, tweeters--you name it, they got it. And yes, they also do repairs. The record section is in the back, beneath a loft-like second-floor area.

What They've Got
Seventy percent vinyl, 30 percent CDs. The hip-hop and R&B section is what hits you when you first duck through the doorway--racks of 12-inches and albums by everyone from the Treacherous Three to A Tribe Called Quest to Trick Daddy. If you never got around to picking up a copy of "Humpty Dance" back in 1988, you can do it now.

There are also racks of special-pressing 12-inches that feature several artists on one disc--say, a song by Missy Elliot and Timbaland, one by Nas, and two by Busta Rhymes--all for the low, low price of $4.99. Toward the back is a smallish but solid soul and jazz section with tons of unopened James Brown, Delfonics and Thelonious Monk discs for $8.99 a pop, and behind that is the reggae section. Further up front, there's an extensive house and techno section.
