Love It – A great place. I really love the nights they have live music. There is a DJ upstairs for those who want that also. The drinks are good and everyone's favorite bartender is SANDY. I highly recommend Frank's Pl.

old and new – A real Ft. Greene gem. All ages, all races, great dancers, old school for reals! If you want to chill out, head downstairs to the old timey bar and play the jukebox. Men in hats still exist!

Brooklyn's Hot Spot – Frank's Lounge has an atmosphere consisting of Brooklyn's Ft. Greene and a collegic mix. A little bougie with a twist of hood gives for great dancing, partygoing and drinks. All it needs now is a slight renovations to set the mood for the spring and summer. The DJ's have great selections from hip-hop, old school, reggae and club music. When all three DJ's are playing in the same night, it's the best party you can get in Brooklyn. The drinks are delish and the recipe for a drama-free setting is all you need to enjoy.

An unassuming neighborhood hang that welcomes all. – The Scene
A number of fancy restaurants have appeared recently in Fort Greene, thereby providing BAM theatergoers commuting from Manhattan with hip places to go for a meal before the show or a drink afterwards. But while other patrons and neighborhood folk are checking out Chez Oskar or Moe's (or hanging out in the impressively cavernous but otherwise inert BAM cafe), the best place to go for an after-show nightcap might be Frank's.

The Draw
A small, local bar just around the corner from the Opera House, Frank's has inexpensive drinks and a mellow atmosphere conducive to good conversation. With a stucco ceiling resembling stalactites made from meringue, a friendly no-nonsense bar staff that makes the drinks strong and arguably the best R&B jukebox in the city, Frank's provides a chance to escape the scene and simply talk about it.

Everybody loves Frank's – I really wanna hate Frank's, mostly because the B&T crowd discovered it, and I'm predisposed to scoff at people with nothing better to do than wait outside the rope line. But Frank's is cool, especially when it's not too crowded. Stick to week nights and Sunday afternoons

Still Cool – OK, so Frank's has gotten way too much hype lately. But it's a sign of how cool this place is that it retains its soul nonetheless. Sure, there always seems to be a crowd of annoying college kids every time I go now, but the appeal of Frank's has always been the different crowds that rub up there, and the old-timers from the neighborhood aren't going anywhere yet. Plus you can see Lonnie Youngblood, forgotten soul dude from the 60s, here just about every night, it seems like, still blowing out the classics. And people actually dance here.
