I've been here twice and from the staff to the patrons there all ignorant!!! there will not be a third trip!
I wonder if BB King eats at this restaurant. My girlfriends and I attended the Gospel Brunch and the food was the worst food that I ve ever tasted. Our mouths were tuned up for some real down home soul food. Huh, what a joke. Instead the baked mac and cheese was sitting in some type of white creamy liquid that tasted something like farina or cream of wheat. the eggs were powdered and also sitting in water. The french toast seemed to be regular toast (cold) No fresh steaming hot biscuits, but small frozen silver dollar biscuits that were also cold. The candied yams looked and tasted like they were poured out of a can and OMG the peach cobbler tasted like peaches straight from the can and I can t even say what the crust was made out of. possibly the same thing that the baked mac and cheese was floating around in. BB King you all need to step it up with some homemade food. I am not a chef and evidently the people in your kitchen are not either, but I can burn and I d be willing to come in and teach you staff a thing or two. Folks if you are really hungry you may not not want to do the brunch. I can t say what the other menu consist of but I don t see it being any better. especially if the same people are preparing it.. Very, very, very disappointed customer!!!!!
The other night was my first time going over to B.B. and it was a blast! It was a lot of fun going there with a big group of friends! The music was incredible and the food was to die for. If you haven't been there, you MUST go!
Great food and music – This place rocks. Great service, great food and most of all awesome music
Good Music – I had a decent experience here. The music was good, it was a lively crowd.
The food was average, yet the entertainment made up for that.
Not all that!! – I came here expecting to be exposed to greatness and a down south feel.
I didnt get that!
Joe is one of the worst managers I have ever come in contact with. He made me feel so uncomfortable as a black man in a club named after a BLACK MAN that I refuse to return unless I know that he will not be there. The staff seemed to all have the same feelings about him being rude, pretentious and extremely unprofessional. The food was ok but the smell of the place was weird as well.
terrible service overcooked steak... – the staff was extremely rude and pretentious, from the guy at the front with the gust list to the waiters. and hey chef... i asked for my steak MEDIUM not charcoal!!! thanks but no thanx highly advised that you stay outta this place!!
If You like Live Music and Entertaining Show – Another thing we did was head over to The Griffin to Michael Fredo's Wednesday night party. They have a great show and an open bar from 8-9:30. Free admission too. Michael Fredo with The Benny Reid Ensemble is a great Jazz/ Ratpack show. 50 Gansevoort @ Greenwich
Dissapointed – Im glad that Im not the only person whos had a bas experience here with the bouncers. Not only was the staff mad rude, for example the waiter had the biggest attitude I ever seen in my life and had the guts to call me a bitch under his breath as he walked awayy!, the bouncer actually didnt want to let me in until I argued with him for a good 10 minz and havin to show him a second id cuz he didnt believe it was me! Ridiculous, I swear this guy had problems I showed him my goddamn resident card how the f*** do you fake that?? And do I look like I need to fake an id card? Im way too old for that. Psh this place was b.s. and the food tasted like its been laying under heating lamps for days. Not happy at all. If it wasnt for one of my fav bands playing there I never woulda went, cuz every time I go there theres always some kinda problems going. Dont go there unless u abslutely have to.
