This paved bicycle path, on the former Penn Central Railroad, starts in the heart of the Cape and ends on national seashore of the Outer Cape. You'll pass a junkyard when leaving Dennis--don't despair. The first cranberry bog is only a mile away. The trip quickly settles into a nice rhythm of pine trees, big pond, cranberries, tunnel, pine trees, big pond, cranberries. The last leg is a straight line for eight miles into Wellfleet.
